Game Invites....the kid who gets picked last for kickball

Game invites suck. There, I wrote it as plainly as possible.
Now, more than ever the open games (if you can find one) are lopsided....as if there weren't too many in the first place. The "good ole boys/girls" will only play with each other now. I'm sorry but, I don't particularly enjoy the new system. I used to be easy to find an open game with "qualified" teammates....(no offense to the question marks of the site) but now its virtually impossible. There are several players I have come to enjoy teaming up with over the past 2 plus years, we have won a lot of games together..... maybe I need to find my own team and stop bitching about it, if you can't beat 'em...join 'em I suppose.
Sigh.
The post sounded much better in my head than when I tried to write it down, perhaps someone else is better able to expand on my thoughts and make them coherent.
At the very least there needs to be a filter so I don't have to wade through the endless reserved games to find an open one.

For my part...I LOVE them for my tournaments (I haven't had the opportunity to use them yet, but I plan to). They haven't really affected me much (that I've noticed) as far as my normal open games. However, since I don't play team games AT ALL unless I'm forced to via tournament, perhaps that's why I don't feel affected by it.

Hmm, I did a search for the games I usually like to play, and I can see what you mean. I just hadn't noticed because I'm past my threshold for games at the moment. I'm not sure as to the difficulty of this, but maybe an option could be added to Game Finder for Reservations/No Reservations?

my only problem with the whole reservation thing is, if a whole game is reserved, it should no longer be open... its more annoying seeing a game you like then not being able to join than not seeing it at all.

I agree that open games have gotten fewer and fewer, but I am not sure this is really why.

well i can assure you i always access all the functions! True, due to the pace i have to move at, not always in the correct order or even before i am finished.

I can see why it was implemented, but I can also fully see your point. The chances of finding an open game with high ranked players (on either team) is now much smaller. I like to fill up my waiting games sometimes with all quads or trips, and that way I get to play with quite a few different people. I just hope that this won't mean that whenever I do that I have the same team for all 50 games.

since i have become a freemium, i have noticed all sorts of things on CC that i had never noticed before! it is like
an entirely different site when you are a freemium. at least more so then when i was a freemium so long ago...-0
