As I understand things, it's not really something you volunteer for...rather, they would come to you if they wanted you for the role. But that said, I suppose you could contact the Chief Moderator (AndyDufresne) and ask him.

Frequently Asked Questions wrote:ConquerClub is maintained in large part by the volunteer TeamCC made up of members from the community who have taken on the responsibility of moderating, managing the Map Foundry, coordinating Tournaments, handling cheating accusations and helping members like you find answers to their questions.

If you would like to join TeamCC the best way to do this is to be "modly" in the forum: If you cannot moderate without the tools and title, you will have a hard time moderating with the tools and title. Existing TeamCC members are always looking out for potential members who are active, helping out others, organizing tournaments, commenting on maps in production, and who don't let themselves get baited and don't bait others.

Be active and helpful and someone will approach you.

Thanks this helps a lot. :)

well, from your profile, you like god and you are an AAU baskeball player (which means you are a teenager), plus you have under 200 posts (which makes you very active in all your social groups). this makes you perfect mod material. good luck.-0

I actually run my own forum so I'm pretty good at being a mod.

I think a key point in your favour would be an admiration for rigidity in systems. A desire to, once a direction has been set, follow that path to its bitter end would be a quality CC admins are also looking for. As owen quite wisely pointed out, a belief in immortal entities would be a definite bonus - like elves or elementals for example - and a willingness to pass on the teachings of the sacred texts (such as thou shalt not blastheme), even against quite stringent opposition at times, would be considered a necessary attribute for the job. One might also consider your ability to appear above the fray, to be inscrutable in the face of opposition and unyielding in the face of positive proof of your fallibility. As all staff (or potential staff) know, fallibility is not the kind of word staff need to know! All the words they need are in the good book: The Hobbit. But I'm sure you already know that as a child who understands what it means to be staff. Finally, a desire to be amongst the persecuted even when you actually sit on top of the edifice known as CC society might be the most important element required for the job. A most able exponent of this art would have to be Optimus Prime. Notice how he took on the role of Jesus dragging the cross through the streets once questioned by the soiled masses of the general membership. Consider how he disdained from conversing with the masses ever again once stones were thrown and aspersions on his good character made. Do you think Optimum Prime has any notion of the word 'fallibility?' Of course not my boy and that is the kind of mettle you must exhibit if you want to become staff at CC.
