I have been wondering about this for a long time, so finally I'm posing the question:

What is the attraction of 24 hour freestyle games?

I can see the attraction of freestyle in speed games, although I'm too old and too slow. I just fail to see the attraction of the 24 hour version, unless you watch your game 24/7 for the right moment to take your turn.

Please enlighten me

One reason is that they move faster than sequential. If you're a freemium and only have 4 game slots, it can be nice to play a game that moves quickly.

first of all, im probably older, and I can do it, and so can you...

but in 24 hour freestyle, you can go first nearly anytime you join a game.

also, in big games if you time your move right, and get a double turn, if you are really desperate, it can give you the game
also...freemiums are only allowed those freestyle games.

and you dont have to watch the game 24/7.. .some turn into real time, but most, you just have to go near the end to make your turn work.

I personally prefer sequential because I don't have to worry about people sneaking in xtra turns

my new favorite game type is foggy pelo wars freestyle esc...

of course i never play speed freestyle, i always get fucked by some double-turn takin jackass...

but... in pelo wars, since everybody starts so far away, it doesnt every really matter... it plays the way that freestyle was intended to be played originally.... same could be said for feudal...

just how does that double turn thing work, that doesnt sound fair

i prefer freestyle, because i can use a script to take my turns as soon as possible, never giving my opponents a chance. it is also convenient, because i can do things like, oh, sleep, eat, work, spend time with my family... i mean, if i were expected to sit there at my computer and go as soon as i could whenever my opponent went, what kind of fun would that be? this way, if i ever get multiple opponents going at the same time, my script can easily handle multiple moves with great success... freestyle is the way to go, especially with my script...-0

if you start a turn in the last hour of a freestyle game and let it run out of time instead of ending your turn, you can be the first in the next round to take a turn.. giving you the ability to take two turns in a row. its what makes freestyle unbearable for most.
