Are auto-typers allowable?

Having played freestyle against a certain few players and losing by means of their use of a program that automatically types hotkey buttons when they're away from the computer, I question the permissibility of such computer-assisted programs.

Are so-called "auto typers" allowed to be used in freestyle games?

You seem to have spelled "detectable" incorrectly.

There are different auto-typers that click at varied intervals, for example every 0.9 seconds, followed by every 1.1 seconds, in a random order, making them less detectable since they are not clicking every second (which can be detected easily).

They probably should be. How else would these freestyle nuts ever get to sleep?

The sad thing being, even if you start and successfully retain a bonus by using an auto-typer, you still have to be at your computer within an hour. This means even less sleep for your casual freestyler. :)

They aren't allowed in either freestyle or sequential. This site is about playing other people, not computers.

Hehe I have to admit that once, during a casual freestyle game, I had to go for an errand and I used an auto-typer
This auto-typer consisted of a little metal cube on my keyboard keeping the b button pressed down :P

in the clickies menu there is an options menu that expands when you press it...either that or one called shortcuts or something....u can set the keys to whatever you want.

We want names, we want explosive 12 page c and a threads again and we all want to write with blustering indignation about something other than bloody admins for a change!

Who are these devious freestylers? I smell an enjoyable diversion from the 'escalating ban system'.

Names, threads, controversy, tears and laughter. JR, do your duty and start some threads!!!

No...it's like being a computer. How would it possibly relate to being a multi?

Multis are illegal, auto-typers are illegal.

Calling a sanction against Auto-Typer Players

The question is no longer whether or not these supposed AUTO TYPERS are allowable, (they're not), it's how to make them detectable and as a result, punishable.

They are undetectable and therefore unpublishable. Suspected users can be noted in the C&A thread, but it's doubtful that there will ever be disciplinary action taken on this.

Players will claim that they are sitting in front of their computer pressing the hotkey. We can try to catch them by forcing an autotyper induced turn at the exact moment they make a move in another game, but this will be very difficult. It would also require that they have two browsers or computers open at once to do this.

Inherently, players who use mentioned AUTO TYPERS are LONELY. They sit, wait, waist, rot, decompose in front of their fancy monitors. They have all the free time in the world to ensure they are not caught.

My proposal is a sanctions-based punishment:

I will read the C&A and ask my clan to refuse to play against players who are suspected of auto-typer use. Maybe other clans/players will follow suit.

The truth is that these players will still get their points, but f*ck if they think they can take mine...

Congratulations Kyle, that little confession made you the very first player put on game-sanction by EMPIRE. You are now #1 on our list. Enjoy that void feeling, it'll last a while...a least you have your little weight to play with...
