Rules of etiquette for nudging someone to take their turn

Say you're in a casual sequential game and it's yellow's turn and you're on deck. You see that yellow is online, so you hang around to take your turn. The minutes roll by, and you're past your bedtime/need to leave for work/must transplant a heart. Is it appropriate to send a pm or wall message politely asking the player to take their turn since you're around and able to take yours?

I'm not talking about going rt, just nudging the person so you can take your turn, especially in large games where days go by before it's your turn again.

Example of devastatingly polite pm/wall message:

"Hi there so and so! I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking your turn in game 9755578669787879? I'd love to be able to take my turn before I have to leave for my midterm/shuttle launch/vasectomy. Thanks!"

What do you think, polite, rude, annoying...?

Polite. I've seen some not so nice. I think it's ok to ask someone to move politely but I have had some assclowns all but explode. Be nice. They either will or they'll be an ass. But I'd just do it as a wall message. gl

Seeing as I am premium, turns do not bother me. If I want more turns to take I just join more games. As a freeium I could see where some want to move the game along. If I get a PM or Wall comment, I usually take the turn ASAP.

if you post on the wall once, I don't mind. But don't do it all the time. Thats annoying.
