Conquer Club

I know the economy's not the greatest, but if you had the $$$ and time...would you show up to such a convention? I was thinking the best venue would be to secure a booth at next year's Comic-Con in San Diego. Of course, that's probably because I'm within 2 hours of that city!

Think of it...we could get some of CC's all-time greats to sign autographs and get pics taken with them.

Those outside of the U.S., where would you hold yours at?

I already have to see you about 3-4 times a year so that's enough for me. I doubt a lot of people would be willing to do this because it would just turn into a bunch of whiners bitching about how so and so shouldn't have been banned. It might even get violent when you consider how passionately people disagree with each other here.

Well, i went to the Risk T.O.C. last year, but I've heard nothing about it this year. It had been going 20 years, but I think I musta broke it.

I live in the UK so San Diego is a bit far away, but I'm going on holiday to Vegas next summer so it may not be impossible.

I don't know. I think I'd rather just keep gradually meeting those that seem cool and live in my area.

But maybe if some of us East Coasters met up before hand, and traveled together, I'd be more amenable. Greekdog, Jones and Player... if we drove perhaps we could pick up Juan_Bottom on the way... but driving would take too long. Greekdog, you have a private jet anyway, right?

Point being, it seems silly to go all the way out to LA alone for a convention to meet strangers and possible weirdos because NO WAY would I bring any real life friends with me. Almost none of my real life friends have any idea I'm on here, and given my flair for ridiculousness in the fora, I prefer to keep it that way.

So maybe we should start organizing some local CC member risk games and see if we can stand each other enough to travel together...

It might be cool but I certainly couldn't afford it... Hell I can't even put out the money for premium right now... Other priorities (Like my daughter, wife etc. )
