Each time combat is initiated, the game engine will generate a random intensity level for each troop involved. The outcome is determined by the intensity of the assaulting troops versus the intensity of the repelling troops. There are 6 possible intensity levels that may be assigned, listed here from weakest to strong
1. Pathetic
2. Sad
3. Decent
4. Strong
5. Awesome
6. Heroic

Yeah... but I think I need to feed the troops more or something. they frequently seem to end up being pathetic and sad ..or was that sad and pathetic... Anyway you get the idea.

Before attacking, I whip my troops into a frenzy. I boost morale by giving short but intense speeches about righteousness, and our holy crusade against so-and-so colour, and how the enemy just smells bad, their dice have no fives or sixes, and we'll just trample them to death as we march proudly through the occupied territories, instilling fear and oppression as well as long-winded marching songs to keep the locals awake day and night.

Damn. You go to a LOT of work. I give them playboys and beer.
Then I take a nap.
