Just curious what the general thoughts are from the community on something like this. Lets say I'm blue, fighting green for Australia. Green takes it from me, but because fog of war is on, nobody really knows that. Is it in poor taste if I were to put something in the chat box to the likes of. "Hey guys, green owns all of Australia now, but has weak borders if somebody wants to bust him."
Thanks in advance.

It's all strategy. If you chose to do so do it. But expect some of us not to be happy about it.

Personally I think informing others about what happens in the fog is very cheap. I've lost on Oasis before because I kept my mouth shut about an opponent holding the Grand Oasis. I didn't like losing, but I really didn't want to feel a rat.
Just my opinion.

I like it when people say where other players are its part of the game. Its like real life.

Most wont do it most of the time...but there are times, when its important for other players to realize that someone is taking over. I think the best advice, is to give as little information as possible, but if being silence means someone walks away with the game easy, then it isnt necessarily sporting to let them either.
The key is making hints more than iron clad statements... ie
umm...green is pretty big over here....not ... green has 175 troops here, 138 there...etc
umm...you might want to check greens log, he seems to be dominating....not... green has 3 bonuses, and 436 armies.
If you do give too much, you can almost be guaranteed to get bad feedback...and everyone will have their own threshold. Typically the player you talk about will enjoy it less than the ones you are informing...lol
Like all things in CC...just be reasonable, and youll almost always be fine.

I find it poor form to announce someone's location. However, I find it perfectly acceptable to say something like, "wow xxxxx, you really hurt me hard that turn. nice move". It clues the other players in that xxxxx is getting strong without revealing too much. A little sneaky, but in a gentlewomanly way.

i think fog allows for boasts to be made. i have seen it happen against me and i called their bluff the trouble is, nobody can confirm what you are seeing so you could be lie-ing. I think that makes states who is where and how strong a legit tactic in fog.
In the end there can be only one, but even mc cloud had friends in the game
