That's not 100% correct, originally it was, at least theoretically, possible to get a score of 0 or lower, but who could possibly be so bad that they would get a that low score? Everyone wins some time, right? Well, one player started getting close to 0, someone noticed, created a thread in GD, some people did the math and discovered that that one person could break... quite a lot of things. Division by 0, people losing points by winning against this person, this person winning more points than their opponents had.

So now you can't have less than a score of 1 and can't win/lose more than 100 points from/to any single player in a game.

if two players have 10 points, play 1v1, winner will get 9 points and loser goes down to 1? or does the winner get 20, but the loser loses only 9?

I'm pretty sure the log will read "Player 1 gained 20 points; Player 2 lost 20 points," and as such Player 1's score will go up to 29 points while Player 2's will drop to 1.
