There have only been a total of 13 Field Marshals in the entire history of cc, so I think that your "20 FM at one time" figure is a little off base.

This theory has been debunked repeatedly. Points made off of the double turn represented a tiny fraction of my point total.
When I was up over 5000 points I was extremely disciplined with respect to the games that I played. I never had more than 3 or 4 active games. I dropped points because I decided to loosen up & play more "fun" type games.
Im sure that you will see some record breaking scores again...I heard a rumor that someone is gonna try for 7K.
