Chat and how it relates to attitude

I have a question to those of you who have a bit more knowledge in such matters, and also just to see what others think about this.

I was wondering what critera people use to judge a 5 star rating in attitude? gameplay is almost always a 5 in my opinion, nothing ruins a good player more than bad rolls, and new players have to start somewhere, fair play almost never comes into effect for me as I am usually only in 1v1 and its a cutthroat world there, but for attitude I was wondering what would warrant a less than 5 star rating. I give 4 if the person complains about me specifically without reason, and less if there is alot of it, but I still usually award 5 for anything other than that, even people complaining about dice, rotten luck, bad drops etc. Sometimes I get the feeling that I might be a bit too lenient with the ratings, and personally I try to choose my random matchups through a look at thier ratings. What does everyone else base their ratings on?

If you're friendly, talk in chat, or even simply post a good luck at the beginning I give 5 stars. If someone is silent, you can't really judge attitude, so I usually just give a 4.

Maybe it sounds stupid, but I guess I want to reward people that extra star for being friendly. Even if it is just a good luck or something at the beginning of the match.

everyone has a different opinion in how they rate players, the only advice i can give you is if you leave a bad rating for someone, anything under 3, it should be for a good reason.
