IB - Super Smash Bros Smalltown (Alignments Going Out)

Trouble is brewing in the Super Smash kingdom. The meleers have awoken to find their beloved leader, Mario, shot to death. Instead of settling this in a normal battle like would be expected, the SSB members have decided to settle this old school; deciding who was responsable for the crime and killing them. Who will win this round? The Super Smash Mafia or the Super Smash Town? (Or maybe the mysterious solo player).

This is a smalltown game, which is different from normal games that you have played here, below is a simple explaination of how these types of games work

1) The character names and their corresponding roles are posted below
2) The player list is randomized, and everyone publicly drafts their chosen role, if you take too long you may be skipped
3) After everyone has a role, the alignments are randomized and sent out.
4) From here, the game continues normally


So this means that every player has their character name and role public for the entire game, but not their alignment. This could mean that the mafia consists of a doctor, vigilantee, and a mason. They could be the inventor, jailkeeper and bulletproof. All that the town will know is who is what role.

The setup is a 8-3-1, which means eight town roles, three mafia roles, and one serial killer. After a little debate, I have decided to give the serial killer a one shot NK immunity that he will not know when is used (if ever). This means the first NK attempt on the serial killer will fail, but any subsequent attempts will be successful.

The role list is as follows

Nana wrote:You are Nana, the pink Ice Climber, a day talking mason. Any time during the game, you may talk to XXX, Popo, the blue Ice Climber. You do not know the alignment of Popo. Directly quoting what you have said to him will result in a modkill, summarizing is OK

Fox wrote:You are Fox, a redirector. Each night, you may redirect all actions targeting one player, to a second player. This means that anything that would happen to the first player, will instead happen to the second player. If watched, you will be seen as having targeted both players


Bowser wrote:You are Bowser, a commuter. At night, if you choose you may retract into your shell to escape from harm. When retracted into your shell, any action against you will fail. You may not retract into your shell on consecutive nights.


Pikachu wrote:You are Pikachu, bulletproof. You are just so cute and cuddly, that no one could even think of killing you. Any and all kill attempts against you will fail, other actions though will succede. Your Bulletproof ability can not be roleblocked away.


Donkey Kong wrote:You are Donkey Kong, a one shot vigilantee. You have your Donkey Punch, and are not afraid to use it to pass by all that democratic mumo-jumbo and take out who you think should be gone. It takes a long time to charge up though, and takes a lot of energy to use. Once during the game, you may donkey punch a player to death. If your kill fails for any reason, it is not recoverable.

You may not give an invention to yourself, and no invention may be used on the player you gave it to. Inventions will be discovered the morning after they are given out.


Kirby wrote:You are Kirby, a watcher. Each night you may float into the air and spy on another player. You will get the names of everyone who happened to visit that player that night. You may not watch yourself.


Jigglypuff wrote:You are Jigglypuff, a roleblocker. Each night you may sing to a player, putting them to sleep. Any action they attempt for the night will fail.


Gannondorf wrote:You are Gannondorf, a jailkeeper. Each night you may order to have a player locked up. While locked up, they can not do any night actions, but also will be immune from any kills.


Mr. Game and Watch wrote:You are Mr Game and Watch, a hider. Given that you are 2-D, each night you may hide behind another player unnoticed. While hiding, any actions targeting you will fail. However, if you hide behind a member of the mafia, they will see and kill you. If you hide behind someone who is killed at night, you will die with them as well.


Zelda and Shiek wrote:You are Zelda, and you are Shiek, a double voter. Since you are technically two people, your vote counts double. Your vote counts as two votes for the duration of the game, and may not be split between two players. Your double vote may not be roleblocked away. The needed to lynch votecount does not reflect your double vote. (12 alive still needs 7 to lynch)


The town PM will include the following

You are a member of the town. You win when all threats to the town have been eliminated


The mafia PM will include the following

You are a member of the mafia with XXX and YYY, whom you may talk to at night as you please. You win when the living members of the mafia is equal or greater to half of the remaining players in the game. Each night you may choose one player to submit a kill. I will assume the person who sends in the kill will be doing it, unless stated otherwise.


The serial killer PM will include the following

You are the serial killer. You win when everyone else is dead. Each night you must choose one player to kill. You have a one shot NK immunity. The first time someone tries to kill you, they will fail. After that you will die.

**Modnotes
1) If a RB/JK target eachother, both are roleblocked
1.1) If RB targets JK, JK targets other, JK is roleblocked, other is not (and vice versa)
2) Passive abilities are not able to be roleblocked (BP, mason, DV)
3) Draft deadline is twelve hours, after which next may draft with the delayer able to draft when ready
4) Any non-recieved actions will be forfieted
5) All one shot/dependant shot actions roleblocked count as used (commuter, inventor, vig)
6) I do have plenty of mod experiance offsite, just because I am new here doesnt mean I am new to the game or modding.

The Draft Order

Each player will have twelve hours to draft their character. If they have not they forfiet their turn and the next player may draft. Anyone with a forfieted turn may draft when they have the chance.

You do not need me to be here if it is your turn to draf, just choose your character. The same applies if the deadline for the player before you misses the deadline. I am going to PM every player to inform them that the draft has begun.[/color]

I will have a stab at this (and probably ruin the game for all), but I just have one problem with ze setup:

Outside of SSB yes, but he is my main when I play. Shorthop + B tap + dash to up smash is a good combo, juggling too.

Thats SSBB (which isnt that good imo). Lucas is the one that just rips people apart there (even with charge b being way overpowered for pika).

Also not a fan of the fire emblem people, closest I could think of for them was mason pair and I needed something like a watcher/tracker at that point.

I wouldnt call it open per say. The four styles are open (c9 etc), smalltown (this), semi-open (F11), closed ('regular' games)
