War of the Roses

Hi all.

I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in a map depicting The War of the Roses (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wars_of_the_Roses).

If anyone is interested, I'm thinking i could do a quick draft of a map i have in mind.

The map would feature something a little like the waterloo map, but much more eye friendly, but with the same idea of having a bonus for holding wither the White or Red rose capital, and then featuring major battle spots as other bonuses, but normal territorial bonuses as well. Maybe some quirks where the White or Red Capitals can attack any battle field or something like that.

Thanks for any input!

I'm always interested in a historical map!

Draw up the draft, that always generates more interest than a written idea.

Someone had a nice start on this then abandoned it. Be a good one to pick up and finish.

Here it is! http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=242&t=58436&p=2174359#p2174359

Think I'll pick up from that.

Out of interest, how do I go about doing that? Do I PM them for permission or what?

I don't see any stamps on it... it should be yours for the taking. Though you have to come up with a new image as the original mapmaker holds the image as copyright, but not the gameplay.

but I think you should think more about gameplay. this attempt has a little with War of Roses - there are only regional bonuse...

Agree.
The above mentioned map never saw the day exactly cause its phantomatic gameplay.
A map about the War of the Roses certainly must be more than that!
I think that if you want to go with this project you should try to represent more the peculiarity of the war than its geography.

I remember King Maker board game. You could loosely base a War of the Roses map from the original game. It incorporated the various kings, nobles, kingdoms/castles and cities/towns. Be sure to use family crests/shields. Might not be able to use the actual ones though.
