So heres my idea of a map. I have the continents outlined. i was wondering two things though.
1. Does it look good. Both borders and overall looks.
2. The second thing i was wondering was if i could PM ar email this to someone along with a map with no borders on it so they could take the borders I already had on it and put a color overlay on the clean document so that you can still see the forests and mountains and other terrain features.
Heres the map
NOTE: the summer isles can be blue
Thanks

Made up maps are never gonna be that popular. Not brilliant I'm afriad. Why don;t you have a hack at one of the ones from the ideas thread?

i don't think it looks all that bad; and i don't understand why made up maps are so frowned upon.
i'd suggest connecting Rathikun and Orog to make that part of the map more dynamic.
Summer Isles could be really powerful if you make them a hub and connect them to Ralda and Sypius Plains, perhaps even Coruneon as well.
Anyway, those are my initial thoughts, i say go with it
edit: i forgot to add that i really like the style, with the visible trees and everything

'Single Person' made up maps won't be so popular, because there is no history, or real life thing to attach to. I might as well go play world domination of that Dugcarr1 Body map.

Unless you're me. I don't care if they are made up or not. I don't associate much with these maps when playing them. Just who owns what continent, and how I can stop them.

i humbly disagree, when i'm playing the USA map, im not thinking, "Oh gee, this is the route Lewis and Clark took!!" or in the Space map "Oh hey, i was born on that one!"
intertexuality is irrelevant. what matters are playability and visual appeal (probably a few other factors, but my initial argument still stands)

haha, that cracked me up. im going to make an effort to think that the next time I play the US map...

It looks a little like North America after the ice caps have melt...maybe you could call it that? But I do like the fact that you gave Steve Nash his own country...it's about time!

Hmm this one has got potential. Much work still needs to be done but it has potential. Most people don't care if a map is made up or not, it's how good it plays that matters. Anway I prefer something tangible like this to crossword or Circus Maximus that I never play (and I am fixated with the Romans and have actually been to the Circus Maximus!).
Now for a name. I don't know...Esmeralda?

either via sea route, or change the borders. that's the good part about creating your own map, you can change the borders without a world war

How many territories does this have? It looks like you probably need to double it.
I dont think Esmeralda works. Im sure you could find something way better and more fitting to the map. Something that isnt a disney character is a start.
