NCAA allowed or copyrighted for maps?

Hey guys I'm new to the site and I had a cool idea for a map and have been working on it, it's basically a map where the territories are Div 1 US football schools and the zones are Div 1 football conferences ACC, Big 12, Big East etc and then I wondered if this would even be allowed on cc since there may be copyright issues and I wanted to see what you all thought before I put a lot more time into it. I was sort of curious about that too. I'm sure you couldn't use any logos, but if you kept things generic and just used school names if that was ok.
The big issue I see you having with this map, copyright issues aside would be the overlap of conferences, assuming you're doing this on a standard U.S. map. For example Ohio has D1 schools in 3 different conferences (Big 10, MAC, Big East).
