I'm changing the title on next version (3) to Hooligan Wars (thanks yeti_c).
For those who disturbe the peace around sports events.

Here's the new version, I changed a lot of things (graphics and gameplay)

SOCCER WARS 1: HOOLIGANS VS. TIFOSI (English and Italian Ultras)
VERSION 2 UPDATED 16/FEB/08

-Eliminated English and Italian Fans.
-Eliminated the "leaders".
-Rearranged the way things appear on map.
-Added the C.C. Sports News.
-Now the choppers act just as bombarders. The up one can attack every Hooligan and the down one can attack every Tifosi.
-Changed the bonuses.
-Both choppers start neutral with 6 armies each.
-Reduced the number of territories from 80 to 70.
-Indicated the partial and absolute bonuses.
-Renamed the map from "Football Wars" to "Soccer Wars" in order to elminate any confussion between World Football and American Football.
-Placed the name of the units on map.
-Changed the Hooligans and Tifosi icons.
-Eliminated the tickets terit.

FOOTBALL RIVALRIES | Chapter 1:Hooligans-Tifosi
If you thought it was about Thouchdowns you are in the wrong place.
I don't like the word SOCCER, it sounds like "sucker".
Well, since is the most popular sport in the world I thought it would be nice to have a map involving something about it.
My main target was rivalries, so I started this map (I'm thinking of a trilogy) with a very violent one: England (hooligans) - Italy (Tifosi).
If this works and you people like it maybe I'll come back with an Argentina-Brazil, England-Germany or Argentina-England after publishing this one.
The image talk for itself: the security for an intertational game (maybe an Eurocup) fails and a deadly match betwenen both nations fans it's about to begin.
Hooligans approaching from the north, and Tifosi come down from south.
Some families or neutral fans -as I called them- have been surrounded by this fight and everything is messed up and the media is broadcasting live world wide.

Choppers can attack both English and Italian fans (wine and green cars).

just one problem with the current setup. you have no room for terit names.

I was thinking just place small numbers on the icons. Or something like code, for example
H-1 for Hooligan #1. It's OK using the Visitor TT fonts, the code fits.

Tickets has no bonus and only serves to connect media to the neutrals. I'm not sure if this good or bad. But, just wanted to point it out

Is there a connection between the helicopters? There appears to be but the title blocks it so I could be wrong.

There appears to be a layering issue for the south helicopter's attack routes. They all go under the cars. Also, the connection it has with the police car is not very evident.

This is a good map... it should be getting more interest than this.

What do you think of calling the map "Soccer Ultras" or simply "Ultras"?
Most of the maps in CC are about wars...

The bonus of +6 for the jammed fans seems a bit high no? Only 2 borders and they are all the way in the corner.


Also, in the southern three you have white text for their labels, but the three northern jammed fans you have black text. Is the black text not visible on the concrete for the southern fans?

Oh yeah, that number is wrong. The correct bonus is +3.

Is not visible with black, but I would add some shadows to highlight the withe text (I'll change the upper names to white).

Like your other maps, this is looking really good. I like the layout a lot.

I really like how this map is turning out.

don't you think bonus for possessing all police is quite not enough? they are right in the center and facing zones with most bonuses.

I don't see anything wrong with 'Soccer Wars'. It puts a context around the situation. I'm not sure what 'Ultra Wars' refers to, but I wouldn't expect to find a traffic jam on that map.

Well outside America (except the MLS), there are select supporters that live and die by their team. And I don't mean "hey, guess what, I painted my face red to show support. And hey, this guy got 1.52 goals per game" like American fans. These people literally live and die by their team.

When opposing ultra groups get together (in the street near the stadium in this situation), a riot fight usually ensues (and in Turkey, at least 4 people are stabbed. 10+ if Greeks go there). And yes, this riot does cause traffic jams around the area obviously.

And the bonus should be increased by 1 I guess.

Also, the Italy shield on the top right should have more green and red in it.

1. I'm thinking of an increment of +2. It makes the police continent bonus =+8.

Rename to "Hooligan Wars" - eliminate the need for any link to Football or gaymans rugby.
