I was thinking we could do a map without bonuses and just war :P for all those war enthusiasts

draft:

Image

P.S. it resenbles no modernday territories

Ideas, suggestions, comments?

"Training"

10 armies are depolyed on New Recruit every turn
They cannot attack. They must be fortified to a training center. From training center the troops can be fortified to various places. Navy training -> navy. marine training-> marine corps. Army-> Barracks and Air Force -> airfield. fortifications are one way. (If your "base" doens't have an air force/barracks... whtever, you cannot fortify there). Owning, New Recruit, (navy training, marine training, army training or airforce training) and appropriate fortification area earns you a +20 troops (auto depolyed) there(barracks/navy/airbase...etc).
The training "continent" cannot be attacked. It is under "newbie" protection.
(walls will be added around forts) Earthbound invasion is impossible. You can attack it by battleship, but you must also own the base's submarine defences. Attacking by air (airfield->x)means you need to own the base's Air defence turret. Airfield -> turret -> fort
Armies cannot walk across water, you need to own "TROOP TRANSPORT SHIPS" and fortify across.

Slow down with the drafts... we don't need to see every step you make.

why name and color them if they give no bonuses?

hes right man. just keep the original, then make all the tert colourings and naming and then show us the final product for that. no need to show the steps in between.

so we can give false info by saying "im going for the red area" when ur really going for the green area.

Am i correct in guessing that your land was created by:

Render>Clouds
and bringing contrast all the way up?
That effect is really easy to see whenever it is used.

Try drawing your land areas out by hand. It gives it a much cleaner, more natural look in the end. Right now the borders between black and white are way too choppy for me to like them.

But on the concept of the map, I like it, but it needs some work. Maybe more territories, or a few more islands.

Also, try splitting up the blue-green area on the right into two seperate colors. one for the top part, and another for teh bottom. Its too big to be all the same color (even though its technically not a continent).

there's going to be more than one "new recruit" territory, right?
otherwise, i don't see how this would work.

So you can't eliminate your opponents, right? Then this map would be unwinnable (unless you make it an objective map).

Lots of the other ideas aren't currently possible (armies not being able to attack unless you hold x, etc.)
