I would like to request that this be merged with the actual thread, here. I don't know how this happened, but I definitely don't want two threads for this.

Nice idea, a few changes

Nice idea :)

I like the layout, but the regions could use a bit more difference in color (I can't tell where one starts/another begins). And holding the top of the hill for 3 turns would kinda ruin it, unless you had to defeat a neutral that got the +3 per turn also.

Or you could scrap that objective and just give "Hold the peak = +3 armies per turn." And what's with the steep slopes? I don't see what your talking about, unless the dark green ones are "steep."

A little bit more work in the graphics department and some edited mechanics, this is a nice idea!

and why did u make a new thread for this idea again???? also there is something controversial with the graphix, the sun is behind but there is no shadow, why?

Woah... where did this come from? I swear I never did anything to make a new thread... This is messed up, really. I suppose they could be merged...?

Thank god! I had done work on version3, but I was waiting for some more input (on version 2) before I released it. Expect it soon.

I'm definitely working on improving the graphics; I have a long way to go with this. Right now, this only serves to illustrate the concept. Good advice with the regions, thanks.

The "3 turns" thing can't be done with current XML, so I removed the victory condition. The peak should be worth fighting for due to its own merits. I actually removed it already in version 2; this randomly appearing thread doesn't show it, though.

Yeah, that's one of my major areas of improvements. The dark green ones are supposed to be "steep." I'm planning to redden the borders around them, and also in the key, in order to make that more clear. I'm also going to desaturate the area more, to make it stand out.

I didn't intend for this to happen, this is really weird. The OP says it came out on the 3rd, one day before I posted the actual thread. Do you also mean that there were previous ideas like this? I suppose it makes sense. I'll read through those and figure out why they failed, so that I can hopefully improve on that.

Hmm... I never thought that that would look like the sun. It was intended just to have the peak glowing. I'll fiddle with this.
