Just an idea I got from a novel I read recently. It takes place in 2057 with the Islamic extremists having taken over the majority of the US with the exception of the bible belt, Mormon territories, Mexican controlled southwest and independent southern Florida along with the Nevada Free State.

To make it interesting, I was thinking of 5 plague areas that would be under quarantined, once in there is no escape. Plague areas would be St. Louis, Phoenix, Chicago, Dallas and Pittsburgh.

The Nevada Free State would be easy to get in but hard to get out.

Radioactive Southern NY State, Northern NJ, area around Washington DC, and Detroit.

Capitals for each territory would be Seattle, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Indianapolis, and Denver.

All plague ares will not have neutral armies at the start of the game.



I hope my rough map shows up. I've never done this before so please forgive me in advance.

Sounds far far far too much like US:Apocalypse. Instead of going for the "toxic" angle, perhaps the warring Islamic/Mormon/Bible Belt factions with weirdo bonuses to match?

I was thinking of that a bit. So if I take out the plague areas and the radioactive areas and leave the Nevada Free State, it might fly?

I would like to leave the Mexican controlled south and possibly change the Independent Southern Florida to Cuban controlled south?

I wish I knew how to insert the map into this post so you know what I'm talking about.

hmmm 39 years in to the future and the islamist still cant control the world, oh and good thinking noway would southwest give up that ez but you would have to change more of the southwest to Aztlán...and the mormon i guess if islam can get along with them but i doubt that....

I am going to attempt a better map here in a couple of days. Hopefully it works. Of course if someone with the know-how and expertise would be willing to help me out, I'll take it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. theres no way that they would have taken over most of america. let alone any part of the world ('cept where they control now) and anyways what happened to christianity??? christians dont go out without a fight. i say NO WAY to this map

I hope that's not a shot at Muslims... why couldn't they? cause the "greatest country in the world" and "god's people" are stronger and better then they?

it's an interesting idea and might make a cool map... it's not reality. if you can't set aside your prejudices for a pretend map on cc, you need to do some self-reflection.

There is no way any extremist group could gain enough power to invade america. Apart from anything else, America would gladly nuke half the planet before allowing themselves to be invaded. In a couple of hundred years maybe, but 40 years?

The only way its possible is if a political party gains popularity enough, but america voting for an extremist muslim party is even more unrealistic.

Anyway, back on the map, At the moment, its definatly too close to usapoccolipse but with a lot of work it could go.

Is this based on Prayers for the Assassin?

did you read the second paragraph of my post? this is not a realistic map or idea.... like many of the maps on here. so lets not debate the possibility of it happening. lets also agree that you have absolutely NO idea what will happen in the next 10 years let alone 40.
and the map isn't called extremist groups invade America... it's Islamic States of America.

If the nuclear/toxic waste idea is scrapped then this won't be anything close to usaApocalypse anymore so than the regular USA map.
that being said you NEED to find some way to distinguish this idea from the other USA maps... more so than just the title, graphics, and state borders/names. otherwise it'll be essentially the same as the usa map.
maybe some sort of war like tacktix mentioned? battle for religious supremacy in the US? each religion has a territory with a stronghold capital... i don't know. just something different.

I am now hashing out the idea of a religious war to have control of the US minus the plagues and radiation zones. Maybe a religious/political take over of America??

I'll be working on a revised map this weekend (hopefully-as this will be my first map). I was thinking of adding northern Mexico (catholic) and Cuban controlled Florida and parts of Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama.

I like the idea of the Nevada Free State, so I think that would stay as it is. The territories would be Cuban Controlled South East, Mexican controlled Southwest, Mormon Territories, Islamic Extremist Northwest, and the Bible Belt.
I need some ideas for the midwest, and northeast/New England area.

if its a religious/political take over of america then im okay with it, but if its just basically 'Islam has almost complete control over america and who cares about catholics/christians' then im against it. And why north mexico catholic? why not central usa? and what about protestants?

Someone please wake me up, cause I am completely bored with the map. It looks like the USA map with USApocalypse sprinkled in there. It is a complete waste of time.

I'm sorry, I have to agree with some of the sentiments above. It's a terrific idea for a map, but its too similar to something that's already been done. Unfortunate luck.
