Is it a copyright issue if a map was made on Conquer Club that emulated a world in Super Mario or Donkey Kong video games?
Because I'd be on top of that shit!

As far as I'm aware, Pacman is in the public domain. Nintendo however, is not, and they are renowned for protecting their copyright with their lives...

http://www.gamasutra.com/features/20051 ... d_01.shtmli think if you make it similar and dont use any of the characters, or logos, you are probably fine. ie: maybe just with similar or edited artwork.

Personally, I wouldn't advise anyone to pursue a Nintendo-themed map... despite my love of their consoles...
