im a big fan of the brit isles map, so i wouldnt really play another 1 so similar. but the college towns one sounds cool! may u could include st andrews as well. just an idea, im not sure if it would work or not.
Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."

the civil war map is a good idea and could be done by dividing my england map in half then making one half cavaliers and the other half roundheads. you would still get the bonuses for holding the regions but a bigger bonus for holding the whole of the cavalier/roundhead area

what do people think of that?

any ideas about what time during the civil war this set the earlist would be the easist to do with the cavalier(royalists) and roundhead(parlimentarians) spilt into two areas with one area each nearly also it is more equally divided at that point because if you count out wales later on the cavalier control hardly any of england whereas later they get two areas which is cavaliers and so on

The Cavaliers are the rebels and the Roundheads are the monarchists, right?

no it is the other way round im pretty sure
cavalier/royalist/monarchists, want the king around
roundhead/parlimentarians/rebels, wanted the king dead

I thought Roundhead meant crown... or maybe it means a roundhead gun to a roundhead king? I dunno.
