Is there a list of maps that need revamping ?
Please excuse my ignorance, I am new to the foundry process. I spent a lot of time on my British Isles revamp. Did not mean to step on anyone's toes. Just wanted to brighten it up a bit with some color.
http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv12 ... eswork.jpgI would like to work on some more, but I don't want to waist time on a map that wont be considered.

That looked great but you were late as it only just got revamped and no point revamping a revamp if you could apply that and create an original map that would be awesome

There are currently a number of maps that are in need of a REVAMP, but we never like to have too many REVAMPs going at any one time---we've got a couple going at the moment, and the community also needs some breather times.

Wow
That map is amazing. You clearly have the artistic talent for making maps
I can't pretend to be a pro in this process (for more information please view my Kenya map thread

) but I guess you'll want to keep an eye out for maps which could do with a touch-up or threads in this forum which say something about needing an artist.

At the moment, we are holding off on any more REVAMPs. If you, however, are looking for an idea---as mentioned keep looking in the Idea forum---people are always looking for an artist, or perhaps an old idea may spark a new one.
Additionally, you can check out the Recycling forum for old ideas that have been abandoned.

are they available for anyone who wants to use them even if you're not original artist?

Per
Oaktown's announcement about how to use the Recycling Bin sub-forum:
Map ideas in this subforum that have been abandoned may be picked up by new mapmakers; an effort should be made to inform the original mapmaker of your interest in using his/her idea. The new mapmaker must start a new Draft topic and any artwork from the abandoned map may not be used without the original mapmaker's consent.
Map ideas in this subforum that have been tagged as [Vacation] and stickied should not be taken up by a new mapmakers unless permission has been secured. Maps that seem to spend an eternity on vacation will eventually be considered abandoned and re-tagged.
