Capitalize the word Crusader. Make the - you have in front of the bonus number disappear or change it to something else. Your graphics look fine but could be better.I like the idea and could you explain the brown around Hungry. Also change the names in England and make more smaller bonuses...

If you like the grafics I think we can mix our maps ideas. I think the year 1099 is the best because it's the first crusade. Your jew territories are based on what?
What do you think?
It's up to you CHAMPOS!

Let both continue there both based on very different crusades and i would like one with the north in albeit could do with some better graphics but i'm guessing it's just a first draft so it's fine.

I prefer Champos' territories and continent lay out, 5 fairly large continents, compared to Beko' 10 continents. Maybe you could make the Holy Land worth +2, but make the christian territories which sent significant troops to the battle able to one way attack it, I think this would provide an interesting twist to the gameplay, where some players would try to hold the holy lands, while others would slowly try to take continents. I also thought that the mongols captured and sacked baghdad? or was this earlier (or later) in history?

Otherwise you could half all the region bonuses and have the bonuses double if you also own the holy lands (keeping the ability to attack from other more distant territories)

The Crusades 1250AD

In 1250ad the 7th Crusade by the Roman Catholics had commnced to attempt to reclaim the Holy Lands, at the same time the Livonian Knights were battling it out with the Pagan Barbarians, the Iberian Kingdoms were gradually expelling the Islamic states from their lands, the Islamic Mamluks were establishing power in the eastern Islamic lands, and the Mongols were rapidly expanding into both Eastern Othodox, Roman Catholic and Islamic lands.

There are 5 continents (army bonus):
- Roman Catholics (7)
- Islamic Emirates (4)
- Eastern Othodox (5)
- Pagan Barbarians (2)
- Mongol Hordes (3)

A crudader holding the Holy Lands, whilst holding a continent(s), will receive double the army entitelment for holding the continent(s). For example a crusader holding the Holy Lands and all the Islamic Emirate states will be entitled to a army bonus of 8, instead of the usual 4. Hence it is worth crusading for...

The Pyranees and the Caucasus Mountains are only passable by troops (and subsequent reinforement moves) in the direction indicated by the arrows. The Carpanthian Mountains are inpassable between Hungary and Galicia (as indicated by the cross)

I now think this is historically accruate. This was the main problem with my last attempt at this which ground to a halt over a year ago.

Comments welcome on the historical accuracy (wikipedia based) and the playability. enjoy.

I like this graphics a little bit more, however circles are too coloured. You should make them more transparent and darker. However there was a thing I like in the first map which disapeared in this one, minority religions. You could put for example a islamic minority in some orthodox territories and bonus could be for example... Catholic territories - X, all christian (includes all catholic territories + catholic minorities) - X+Y. See?

I'm using Adobe Photoshop and Image Ready for my map. What program are you using? If you have some time and some patience you will see you can upgrade your grafics.

Cheers!

The Good:
I like the font
Nicely done on the borders
The land masses look great

The Bad:
The water is way too light … try a blue color
Try making the army circles at 50-75% opacity
The "X" doesn't make the impassability clear enough IMO. Same with the "V"
The pink bonus is way unfair … someone could go from 15 troops to drop to 30 with one tert.

The Ugly:
The pink border … *shivers*

Nice update

this is an updated version

i have made a few of the changes

i think we need to keep the crusade bonus of going for the holy lands, the point of the map. I have lowered some of the bonuses to compensate.

can't do much on the sea colour graphic
