This seems like an interesting idea, but it is confusing and i think that is going to be the main problem. Here are a few ideas to start: 1. you need to clear up the attack routes 2. are the rocks there to be used as an impassible or just graphics? 3. Could you look for another background(this one is o.k. but i think you could find better)
nice start tlane

Nice idea.Placement seems a little bland. How bout making it a actual battle. Each side could have positions.Might mix it up a little

Map only loaded 2/3 of the way, now I only see a red X. Dail-up man, dail-up.
But from what I saw, the map was really bland. Good idea to use army men though, very nostolgic. Why not use other colors though? They come in blue, red, grey, olive, bright green, brown, tan, and probably more. Anywy, that would help distinquish the terts better. The background isn't much to get excited about though either.
Again, good call with the army guys though. The majority of us on here are guys, and if they didn't have some green plastic army guys when they were little, then their parents didn't love them. Nostolgic wins.

Love the idea - hate the execution...
Army men came in 2 colours remember...
Green & Brown. (When I was a child it was British (brown) or Nazi (Light greenyblue))
Consider laying out a proper battle - when I was a child I played with a fort - Nazi's on the inside - British capturing it (yes the British always won - although that was probably due to the fact that the nazi soldiers lost various limbs in previous battles : Crippled soldiers aren't that effective!)

Looks like there is support for the idea but not the graphics. I'll see if I can make this more interesting.

I'd definitely go with a stylized graphic idea over the currentl "Realistic army men" ---but the idea is worth pursuing.

All right, I'll admit that the last draft was done in a hurry. I just wanted to throw the idea out there without having different colors or bunkers or tanks or flags or anything. I restarted and stylized it this time. Here's Draft 2.

This one has a cutout style, which I thought looked cool.

sausage = bunkers
mm wierd man. way to easy to get a couple of nice bonusses. Dont forget, get a huge stack, and do not follow up, but keep attacking. nope, i am not a fan

I wold change it so you see the floor of a child's room and have toys scattered about. Make them appear as real army soldiers and have real little plastic bunkers. I would take the bonuses that you have away and group them into platoons. I like the GP features you have. Great Map!

The sides look a little...hm...too perfect---long ago I never made such nice little groupings of Army Men.

Agree with Andy on this one. There needs to be a little less symmetry here. But the concept i think is very good, and graphics need a deal of improvement, but that will come. Keeping going.

Okay, so my last draft was a stylized version. This time I'm trying for a realistic version.

Obviously it's not done (and I messed up the bottom cannons in my haste, lol), but what are your thoughts? Good so far?

1.a bonus for holding a groups of soldiers 2.ability for certain soldiers to attack the enemy (instead of bombard)

I've a feeling that a realistic version is a step back.

cannons? really? I would go with tanks like I had with my army guys
awesome idea though, another thought (to help against symmetry) is to have 3 groups, I always had 3 colors, green, tan, and grey (The grey were supposed to be russians I think) I also did have some blue ones, but they were navy sailors lol

I'm getting mixed messages here!
I've tried a stylized version and a realistic version. The idea has support but the graphics don't. So it would help to be more specific regarding the way that you'd like this map to look. I'm totally open to whatever you guys prefer.

I think it would be better if you did the stylized version but made it into three groups, like Nate said

Love the idea, but isn't "Army Men" a copyright term.
If it isn't based or related to the series in a huge way then i dont think thered be a problem as army men(the toys) is a generic name so to speak.
Also a gameplay idea i had is that you could have 3 types of guys on each side and each could have a attack.Like the machine gun guys could one way attack 2 or 3 guys opposite while grenadiers could bombard 3 or 4 guys, snipers could one way attack one enemy and then cannons could bombard like a quarter of the enemy.
