Transnational Corporations! - Cause the recession!
Posted: Fri Jul 03, 2009 6:26 amBasically it's a map which utilises (to a small extent) my knowledge of business (which is also small), pokes fun at current transnational corporations (General Motors 
) and should be fun to play. It'll be big and need some special XML skill which i don't have yet, as this is my second idea, (the first of which hasn't been posted, but has been drafted on my computer).
I was surprised to see no ideas like this before, but if you know of one, please post a link, even it it's binned.
CEO and Board will be two separate territories with each attacking different aspects of business management. CEO atks organisational side of the business, Board atks the financial aspects. Businesses atk each other through forex, foreign shares, takeover bids and can bombard through economic influences.
Obvious barrier, corporation names, so i need good puns for these (please post). I'd like to make competing pairs of companies in the same industry, eg. coke and pepsi, nike and puma, Mcdonlads and KFC.
My Puns so far:
Coke -> Hash
Apple -> Pear
KFC -> KGB (I saw on this profilehttp://www.conquerclub.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=236590)
Ubisoft -> Noobisoft
One stroke of genius idea i had is doing armies like this:
$/¥/£ <amount of armies> ,000.00
as if they're like cash where appropriate.
I'd like sabotages of random events such as factory fires or boycotts. But i don't think XML caters for it.
Will upload a scan of original idea soon. (I wrote it down quickly on some scrap paper then went back and added stuff.)
