Round Limits

Postby lackattack on Sun Sep 18, 2011 11:46 am

Presenting... Round Limits!

The possile values for this new game option are None, 20 Rounds, 30 Rounds, 50 Rounds or 100 Rounds.

With round limits, the game will automatically finish at the end of the specified round. The winner will be the surviving player with the most troops. If there is a tie, it will be broken based on the most regions. If there is still a tie, the winner is selected based on join order. This option is great for avoiding stalemates on no spoils games and can add some spice to the game as the deadline approaches, forcing the big guys to fight it out and giving the little guys a chance!

Thanks to steelplayin for suggesting this!

Enjoy

Very interesting idea! Excited to see it in action!

Now, will there be a Round Limit-based medal? :D

This could make 8 player no spoil games interesting with a 20 round limit.

yes,in games where opponent are equal, who play last have advantage, its look that these sugestion have loopholes.

Considering who goes last is randomly determined at the start of the game, how is it a loophole? The only way there could be a problem is if everyone played exactly the same and kept even round after round.

It's not who goes last, it's what order they joined the game. So if I was the one to start it and there was a tie, I would win.

Well done...great option that opens up a lot of options for players, especially those that enjoy no spoils.

Ignore any complaints on this. That is a moot point because you have 'No limits' as an option. If you don't like limits, then don't turn them on :)

They are saying whoever goes last has an advantage because they get to see the troop counts on their turn and end it accordingly. So, whoever is last in the 20th round, has an advantage if the Round limit is on.
