the fact that world 2.1 came in front of classic by a mile and that doodle earth barely got the 12th spot in the top shows how "accurate" this poll is.
this was just a fun event where only very few people got to vote and most of them did it kinda randomly because the maps were absurdly distributed.
when it comes to popularity i think the number of games is a much better indicator even if it isn't a perfect one.
PS: the real top 12 should not include peloponesian wars. whenever 2 contestants are tied the next rank is skipped. in our case the top should look like this:
