Personally, I'm Rooting for the Admins on this one. I guess it's because the fact the field marshals have all proven or "proven" depending on how you want to view it, thet they are good players, and that many might be considering the admins the underdogs in this game.

That and I'd love to get a match against the admins sometime, if it were even possible for some nobody like me to do so.

But either way, this should be a fun match to watch.

1) i think the biggest problem is that in a world 2.0 match, your drop is damn near everything.
2) dont diss ur self like that, i was a cook a while back and i never actually started to win games till i thought about winning. its a psychological placebo, where thinking u can win causes u to try harder which causes u to win more.

I wasn't really dissing myself to be honest. I was simply pointing out that in terms of profile here in the community, i'm not well known yet, althought I have run a few tournaments with a few more wrapping up shortly, that and I dont have too many games under my belt.

But I do thank you for the vote of confidence. :)

how so? ive played a few world 2.0 games and people can get amazing drops that change the game.
people have started the game with half of damn europe

first off, there are so many bonuses that someone dropping half of Europe usually means that they're going to be localized in Europe. Secondly, there are so many terts that relative to the number of armies you're getting the bonuses are small. Western Europe for instance is only +3. Over the course of the game its rather insignificant and influences the game much less than dropping a bonus even in a mid sized map like Classic where the +2 in Australia is more significant relative to the number of armies you receive from territories.

Even with 8 players in 2.1 you're going to start with 14 terts, in a 2 player game that increases to 37 (with corrensponding numbers in between for 3,4,5,6 and 7 player games).

Thus the drop in a large map such as 2.1 is much less significant than in smaller maps like Doodle where you can be dead before you even get a turn. If you're not in Europe you're going to be in Africa or North America or Oceania or somewhere else. If you're worried about bonuses there are plenty for you to grab and there is time to make up any dropped disadvantage which isn't the case on every map.
