FINAL STANDINGS:
Congratulations to rmjw10, who overcame NDCAtokR in the final match to become champion of the tournament! =D> =D> =D>
Congratulations also to NDCAtokR for an excellent performance in placing 2nd. =D> =D>
adamcusack won third place in the consolation match. =D>

And thank you to all who participated! Well played. :D

Previous tournament:
"ENLISTED 16 - Australia" http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=179480

I'm really enjoying Conquer Club and I've recruited a bunch of friends and family to play too.
This is a tournament for them and others like them! These are mainly people with freemium accounts who are new to Conquer Club.
Can others join? Of course! All are welcome (if they meet the requirements).

Map chosen by participant vote:
#1 - Luxembourg (4)
#2 - Alexander's Empire (2)
#3 - British Isles (1)
Others: Canada, Brazil, Malta, Doodle Earth, Eurasia Mini
Tournament will begin upon completion of the current "ENLISTED 16 - Australia" Tournament.

REQUIREMENTS
The only requirement is that you have a rank of Sergeant 1st Class or lower AND a score under 1600 at the time you sign up.

FORMAT
This will be a bracket 1v1 tournament with 3 games per match.*
The bracket and randomized matchups will be created using challonge.com.
I'm looking for 16 players.
There will be a consolation match to determine 3rd place.
*The final match will feature 5 games.

FREEMIUM FRIENDLY
This is designed for players with free accounts. Games may be sent one-at-a-time so please be patient.
IF you are a freemium member please indicate whether you would be willing to play all 3 match games simultaneously (3-at-once) OR prefer to receive only one invitation at a time (1-at-a-time) when you post to sign up.
Any matches between premium members and freemiums who say they're up for 3-at-once will have all 3 games sent at the same time. (So IF you sign up for 3-at-once you must keep 3 spots open.)
Premium members will automatically be signed up for 3-at-once unless they indicate otherwise.

FORFEIT RULE
You will have 48 hours to accept invites for each round - this means you have 2 chances to accept an invite.
If you fail to accept twice you will either be replaced by a reserve (in the first round) OR
your opponent automatically wins and advances (after the first round).

CONCESSION RULE
In matches where games are sent one at a time and one player wins the first 2 games, the remaining game is unnecessary. The tournament will advance to the following round. (The participants may request to play the third game if both agree to.)

HOW TO SIGN UP
Reply to this post saying "In please. 3-at-once" OR "In please. 1-at-a-time"
...and don't forget to vote for the map you want!

FINE PRINT
As tournament director I reserve the right to deny entry to particularly obnoxious or low-rated people or those who have deadbeat in a previous tournament... just in case.

Please tell your friends!

Frogmadness voted for Lux by PM.
Nubia seems a little too complex for this, trying to keep it simple.

Spots reserved for:
panchodue
julexstone
Fakyras
floridad

How is nubia complex?

I guess complex isn't the right word. ;)
It just introduces new elements of strategy (holding a # of Nobos, single territ bonus regions starting neutral, auto-deploy) and it looks pretty different. I haven't played it so I'm just trying to look at the map through the eyes of a player that's new to CC. This tourney is designed for new players so I'm trying to keep it pretty straightforward with maybe a change of scenery from Classic.

If you're trying to go simple, then a map like Lux, Doodle, or USA West are your best ones.

The tournament is potentially full. Several people PMed me and I reserved spots for them, but they need to post to formally sign up.
Accepting reserves and if the others don't come through in a couple of days we'll use their spots.
Still also waiting on completion of the first "Elisted 16" tournament to start this one.

Luxembourg it is!
I've created the bracket and will probably send out the games tomorrow.
The previous tournament ("ENLISTED 16 - Australia") is just waiting on one player to take his last turn and it will be in the final. We're going to go ahead and start this one though.

Julexstone never posted or PMed me so I've giving Seeminkey his spot.
floridad didn't post but did PM me again
So we're all set to launch tomorrow! :D
