Jim's Tourney Series #3: Don't Be Last! (winner: Jessamine)
Posted: Fri Feb 25, 2011 6:41 pmSo I came up with a new idea: How about a series of 64 tournaments, of varying format and on varying boards, each with a theme? The winner of each gets to participate in the GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP, a NCAA basketball style tournament, with predetermined settings for each matchup! Win more than one, find yourself on multiple bracket lines and more chances to win it all. The winner of tournament 1 will get first pick of the 64 slots, tournament 2 second pick, and so on. Some tournaments will have teams, some singles. Some have Fog related settings, some Spoils settings, some on certain boards, some on any board.
This tournament (#3) will begin with 32 players.
Round 1 (32) - There will be 4 8-player Terminator games played. First player eliminated is out, other 7 advance.
Round 2 (28) - 4 7-player Terminator games played with new scrambled groups. First eliminated in each is out, other 6 advance.
Round 3 (24) - There will be 4 6 Player Terminator games played. New scrambled groups. First eliminated is out, other 5 advance.
Round 4 (20) - DIFFERENT! There are now 5 4-player Terminator games. First player killed in each is out, other 3 advance.
Round 5 (15) - There will be 3 5-player Terminator games. First player killed is out, other 4 advance.
Round 6 (12) - 2 6 player Terminator games. First killed is out, other 5 advance.
Round 7 (10) - 2 5 player Terminator games. First killed is out, other 4 advance.
Round 8 (8) - 8-player Terminator, first dead is out.
Round 9 (7) - 7 player Terminator, first dead is out.
Round 10 (6) - 6 player Terminator, first dead is out
Round 11 (5) - 5 player Terminator, first dead is out
Round 12 (4) - 4 player Terminator, first dead is out
Round 13 (3) - 3 player Terminator, first dead is out
Round 14 (2) - 2 player, 1v1 winner!! (and get to pick your spot in the grand bracket)
