Every Single Setting: Classic [Winner: gambler21210]

I'll get the raw deal out of the way first: In the first round each person will be playing 90 games.

That said, this is an ambitious tournament. Whereas Map Blaster is the same settings on EVERY map, Every Single Setting will be EVERY possible setting (within limits) on ONE map, in this case Classic.

Round Setup

All games will be done in Sequential play order to keep the tournament from spiraling out of control.
Points will be assigned based on finishing position in each game. More on that in the second post.


Round 1
4 groups of 8 players will play all possible combinations of:

Standard, Terminator, Assassin, Doubles, Quadruples game setting
Escalating, Flat Rate, No Cards card setting
Adjacent, Chained, Unlimited fortification setting
Sunny, Fog fog of war setting

Lowest-scoring player in each group is eliminated.

Round 2
4 groups of 7 players will play all possible combinations of:

Standard, Terminator, Assassin game setting
Cards, Forts, and Fog same as before

4 groups of 6 players will play all possible combinations of:

Standard, Terminator, Assassin, Triples, Doubles game setting

4 groups of 5 players will play all possible combinations of:

Standard, Terminator, Assassin game setting

Highest score wins.

Round 7 Changes
- All players will be placed in one final group.
- Original stalemate rule is back in effect. More than 4 at Round 30, or Round 50.

Round 6 Changes
- All groups will be re-randomized from the pool of people playing.

Round 5 Changes
- All groups will be re-randomized from the pool of people playing.
- Stalemate now occurs only at Round 50, no stop-gap at Round 30

Round 4 Changes
- All groups will be re-randomized from the pool of people playing.

Round 3 Changes
- All groups will be re-randomized from the pool of people playing.
- Stalemate now occurs if more than 3 people are left at Round 30

Round 2 Changes
- The map that will be played on will be Classic Art instead of Classic Shapes.
- All groups will be re-randomized from the pool of people playing.

Other Rules

Stalemate
Due to the possibility of buildup games in Flat Rate and No Cards, any game lasting more than 50 30 rounds will be considered over as far as the tournament is concerned. No points will be awarded in stalemate games. EDIT: Number of rounds changed from 50 down to 30. FURTHER EDIT: If 3 people or less are left by round 30, the game isn't stalemated until round 50.

Group Expansion
If this tournament proves more popular than expected, more groups will be admitted into the tournament in 8-player batches. In other words, if the Reserves fill up within 3 days of the tournament filling, then they will be added as an additional group, and so on until the 3 days have expired. Later rounds will be adapted as needed to accommodate more groups.

Triples games won't be played on Round 1, and that's all the Points System post is showing right now. To be honest, I haven't figured how I'm going to scale down points as people are eliminated round by round. It'll get done eventually, no worries. ;)
