Alright, iambligh, beatnicpie, tlane, ga7, jricart and finchboy welcome to Project Mayhem and round three. With all the round two games decided for tourney purposes I'll be sending out your randomized round three games shortly. What did you all think of the format for round two? My partner and I didn't last too long, but I enjoyed having to see things a little differently. It was a nice change of pace I thought. Seems like most of the games were over quickly , but perhaps that was due to the map. We only had a couple players who apparently didn't read the rules, the rest of you all I have to thank for making an experiment that could have easily gone sour a success! =D>

I thought the choice of New World was quite fitting the system as the inactive team mate still could play an important part in strategy, and seeing that some still got confused it would have been difficult to pull off in a normal map

Did you know, Nag? You can swallow a pint of blood before you get sick

I liked it. It most definitely added a layer to strategy that isn't normally there. I was a Tyler and it was a constant tug of war in my planning as to whether I should a) try and link up with my Cornelius, b) attack Tyler (after all it is the objective, right?) or c) attack Cornelius, thereby significantly outproducing the other Tyler.

In the end the vagaries of the Map combined with the opponents actions made the decision easy some of the time. Killing off one of the opposing Cornelius' Homelands enable me to link up with my Cornelius and more or less won my partner and me the game.

Well if you liked this one so much, you'll love my next tourney.
Seriously though, I went and started a new one. I'd really love it if everyone who participated in 10 Years Later: Fight Club and contributed to it's success would take a look and consider joining. Thanks and here's the link to If You Don't Like the Weather...Doubles
Also don't forget, 10 Years Later: The Matrix will be coming soon to a CC theater near you!

Did you know? You can use old motor oil to fertilize your lawn!

Beatnicpie, Don Juaquin and Waiting4Oct won Game 4978690 and are ready to try and kill two birds with one stone. We're going to destroy a piece of corporate art and a chain coffee store. Robert Paulsen is on this mission, too, right?

Well done gentlemen. As far as I can tell through the fog, at least 2 of the remaining 3 games are almost decided. We should be on to the penultimate round of the tourney within the week! Did you know that if you were to mix equal parts gasoline and frozen orange juice concentrate you'd have napalm? Add some sawdust to that and you've got TNT.

I really like the creativity that went into this tourney, and I'm a huge Palahniuk fan; the only constructive criticism that I'd offer for the tourney is that it seems a bit unbalanced that competitors get one chance to beat 5 players to advance to the final round, and then 3 chances to beat 1 player in the finals.

Thanks iambligh! I'm also a huge Palahniuk fan. Lullaby used to be may favorite but now I gotta say Rant is his best, but it's all so excellent. As far as your criticism goes, I couldn't agree more. If I could do it over again I would definitely make round four more substantial as you're totally right, it is imbalanced in it's current form and I noticed that myself a while ago (though obviously too late to fix it). All I can say is it was my first tournament and mistakes were made, but the next ones will be better! Anyway good luck to you and all the other remaining space monkeys, round four games have been sent out!

The Finals are set, congratulations to iambligh! He will now meet nagerous in a "best-of-three" series which doesn't mean three players it means someone should win two out of three games. Good luck to both of these gentlemen, who are still not beautiful or unique snowflakes, and thanks again to everyone who participated. I had a great time reliving Fight Club with you guys!

Congratulations Nagerous! You get the girl, the buildings come crumbling down, the future is unknown but somehow we believe everything's going to be ok (You did meet her at a very strange time in your life after all). Let's not forget about iambligh who also played very well, and everyone who participated and made this one so much fun. Thanks! Now I've gotta get my man here some gauze.
