NFL Europe Doubles

I was trying to decide upon another nice doubles tournament to run, and got the idea to look through the Abandoned Tournament forum for some ideas. This tournament was originally an idea by Kahless, but he has been gone for a long time, and I thought I would resurrect the idea as a doubles tournament rather than a triples tournament. You will notice that there are 8 different teams up for grabs in this tournament, so we will have a total of 16 players.

The format for the tournament is very simple. Each team needs to specify a home map, card setting, and fortification setting. All games will be without fog of war. There is a schedule for the games listed below. The season is 14 weeks long at at the conclusion of the regular season the top 4 teams in the standings will advance to the playoffs as outlined below.

Non-premium members are welcome, but must keep one open slot at all time while in the tournament. I will do my best to make sure that they have games to play in a timely manner. Please do not sign up for this tournament unless you ALREADY have a slot open.

It appears that we have our teams as of right now. I wouldn't mind it if someone wanted to jump in as a reserve or two, just in case.

All we need are the settings for Forza AZ and dragon dor and then we'll be ready to start the first week's games. I'm going to double check and see if we have all premiums, and if we do, we'll probably play 2 or 3 weeks at a time.

Week 1 games have been sent to home teams. They will go to away teams as soon as the home teams are in.

Reminder PMs for Week 1 have been sent out, and I have created Weeks 2-4 as well. All teams have been notified of their games in a PM and should be joining over the next 2-3 days.

vykingsfan64 will be gone until May 12th, but will join his games for the Rhein Fire as soon as he returns. I have full confidence in him to show up as he has always been good joining games when returning from absences.

Wow, you guys did an excellent job of getting into both your home and away games yesterday. Sure makes my life easy. I sent a couple friendly reminders this morning, and it looks like we are set.

All the games should be active by the end of the day, excluding the ones with Rhein, which will be active on Monday.

Looks like the games are moving along quite nicely.

I have just updated the first post to include the 4 completed games so far, and have send a nice PM to the Rhein team to remind them to join their games when they return from vacation later today. I trust that they will join up sometime in the next 48 hours or so.

I will make Weeks 5 and 6 later this week, around Wednesday or Thursday I think.
