I haven't noticed an update in the standings. Did I miss something somewhere, or have they not been updated yet? No worries either way, just curious, because we never had a loss changed to a win.

Yeah, I apologize about that, I haven't changed them yet. Apparently my job, in an effort to increase productivity, has blocked google docs (but not CC, thank god). I will try to update this weekend.

Standings have been updated for the most part. Still waiting on 5 weeks to complete and there are only 2 more weeks left in the regular season. I will need to reconfirm everything once the regular season concludes, so in the meantime you may want to do a little research on your schedules to see if what I have is correct.

All regular season games have completed, and we have our playoff teams. How the MLB playoff system works, via the Wikipedia page:

"... the wild card team played the top-seeded divisional champion in the Division Series, unless the two teams were in the same division, in which case the wild card team played the second-seeded divisional champion; in both cases the remaining two teams from that league played each other in the other Division Series."

So taking this into account for the American League, the Orioles are the wild card team, but the Blue Jays are the #1 seed. Since they are from the same division, they cannot play each other in the first round. So the first round matchups will be the Twins at the Blue Jays, and the wild card Orioles will play at the #2 seed Mariners.

The AL is as follows:

(#4) Baltimore Orioles vs. (#2) Seattle Mariners
(#3) Minnesota Twins vs. (#1) Toronto Blue Jays

We have a slight issue in the NL. The NL Central champ Reds and NL West Champ Rockies are tied for the best record, so they will have a 1 game tiebreaker game to determine who will be the #1 seed. The other two NL playoff teams are the wild card Giants and the NL East Champ Braves. The Giants are the wild card and the Rockies could be the #1 seed, which means the Giants would then play the Reds anyway, regardless of that matchup. So, either way, the Giants would face the Reds, and the Rockies would face the Braves. The tiebreaker game is still needed in case both of those teams progress to the next round, but I will send out the first round games tonight.

The NL is as follows:

(#4) San Francisco Giants (Wild Card) @ (#1 or #2) Reds
(#3) Atlanta Braves @ (#1 or #2) Rockies

This can be a little confusing, so if you have any questions let me know.

I want to thank everyone for participating, and congrats to the playoff teams.

Thanks. The other AL Series has concluded too so I will send out the games this evening.

Additionally, the Colorado Rockies have beaten the Reds to gain control of the #1 seed in the NL.

Thanks.
