Day 5 action in fencing, shooting, and the cross-country relay is finished.
There are still 4 active show jumping games and 10 active synchronized swimming games.
There is also one synchronized swimming game that is still waiting for a player, but that game should be filled and underway soon.

any point forecast for the 3 on top? should be extremely close after what happened, but serbia probably has the lead.

Yeah I would really like to see a forecast, even if its only completed games and doesn't include the final ones finishing up.

A synchronized swimming forecast will not be coming for Day 5, unless I get the time to do it before the two games still going are won and lost, which is unlikely.

HOWEVER, show jumping is finished, and we have a little bit of a shakeup to report!
Overall second-place Burundi moved up three places in the show jumping standings, earning themselves three additional standings points, while Nepal only gained one, allowing Burundi to trim the gulf between the two teams to 6 points - Nepal currently leads Burundi 313-307.
Meanwhile, Serbia suffered a pretty significant setback in today's Show Jumping competition, losing 2 of their 3 Day 5 matches, falling 10 places in the event standings, and losing 10 Standings Points to fall 21 points behind Burundi and 27 behind Nepal. They now sit at 286 Standings Points, tied for third overall with formerly fourth-placed Pakistan.

Will Day 5's synchronized swimming results help Serbia pull themselves back into the race, or will Pakistan take advantage of their tumble down the table?
Can Burundi continue to close in on Nepal, or will the leaders pull away?

We shall see!

NOTE: I have changed the procedure by which ties are broken in the doubles events. From now on, instead of ties being broken by number of doubles games won and number of rounds those games were won in, they will be determined by the number of Event Points scored or lost on each tournament day, starting with the most recent.
This change has already been put into effect for Show Jumping, and it will be put into effect for Synchronized Swimming when I tally up that event's Day 5 results.

OK, one game still ongoing, but it won't have any impact on the top teams' places in the standings, and I've managed to find a little time.

Of the top 4 teams, Serbia was the only team to move up in the synchronized swimming standings on Day 5, but their 4-point gain still leaves them 15 points back of first place.

Burundi fell 2 points in the swimming standings, leaving them with 305 total Standings Points, but Nepal fell 9 points in the swimming standings, leaving them with 304 total Standings Points!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE HAVE A NEW OVERALL LEADER!!

Now it gets interesting, though, because Burundi leads by only 1 Standings Point.
And now that Day 6 is about to start, we're getting down to the wire here! Can Burundi hold on? Will Nepal retake what was theirs for so long? Or will another team emerge victorious?

Day 6 games have been created in Fencing, Shooting, and Show Jumping, and invites have been sent out for Fencing and Shooting.
I will make the Synchronized Swimming and Cross Country Relay games and send out the invites for Show Jumping, Synchronized Swimming, and Cross Country Relay when I get the chance.

2 sweeps in the Fencing semifinals, and the final matchup is set - Chewie1 of Puerto Rico against mviola of Serbia!
Which of these two players will take home the event crown, and with it 3 months of free premium?

The only Day 6 games still unresolved are in the Cross Cpuntry Relay.
I have not yet gotten around to updating the Synchronized Swimming standings, but will do so ASAP.
Taking into account Day 6's results in Fencing, Shooting, and Show Jumping, the most notable change is that Gabon has leapfrogged Pakistan to take over 4th place overall.
I will issue a more thorough update once the results of Day 6's Synchronized Swimming games have been tabulated and accounted for in the overall standings.

Team Nepal has punched its ticket to the Final Cross-Country Relay at Burundi's expense!
That should, at the very least, narrow the gap between the two countries at the top of the overall standings and make things VERY interesting heading into Day 7.

Day 6's Synchronized Swimming results have been tabulated and accounted for.

Burundi now holds a 7-point lead over Nepal in the overall standings, 310-303, and since Nepal's Cross-Country Relay win over Burundi came in the semifinals of that event, it will trim the deficit by no more than 2 points.
Additionally, with Game 12726016 drawing to a close, it looks like it will be Cambodia facing off against Nepal in the Final Relay.

Day 7 Final Matchups (non-Doubles events):
Fencing: Chewie1 (Puerto Rico) vs. mviola (Serbia)
Shooting: neanderpaul14 (Afghanistan) vs. KraphtOne (Bhutan) vs. TheCrown (Iran) vs. kizkiz (St. Lucia)
Cross-Country Relay: Cambodia (silversun6, benga, Robespierre__, uckuki) vs. Nepal (Leehar, malevolous, nicestash, swimmerdude99)

show: Teams Still in Contention for Show Jumping Title

show: Teams Still in Contention for Synchronized Swimming Title

Determining who is and is not still in contention for the overall tournament win is beyond my powers of computation, so you'll have to settle for a list of the top 5 teams and the number of Standings Points they each have (this will be edited when the CAM-GAB Cross-Country Relay finishes and those results are accounted for).
1. Burundi - 310
2. Nepal - 303
3. Serbia - 298
4. Gabon - 286
5. Pakistan - 273

How can we still be number 1 after being eliminated by Nepal in xcountry? They really screwed up in show jumping and synchronized swimming or you didn t add up everything?

In the later rounds of the bracket events, the standings don't change much.
Burundi was the #3 seed in the semifinals, and their loss dropped them to #4 - a loss of one Standings Point.
Show Jumping and Synchronized Swimming are where the big jumps and falls can happen.
And yes, Burundi did better than Nepal in Synchronized Swimming on Day 6.

so we still have our chances, thought that being in 2 events for day 7 would eliminate us virtually from the race with nepal and serbia tailing us and still in 3 events... let's see if we can hold, just one more day! :)
