Give or take, pretty much.

When I was a student and training pretty hard for track we used to drink Raro (you guys call it tang I believe, powdered fruit juice that is cheap as chips) and add a little salt to it.

i'm not a "powerlifter" but i keep a dumbbell by my desk and occasionally do a few reps.

i still have twig arms though so clearly i'm not doing it right

Nah powerlifters are a specific type of fuckwad (ideal thread to discuss this...). They are likely the type who post about their lifts on facey etc (along with the weight loss tossers and a myriad of other wankers - one of whiich I probably am... i posted a about rowing occasionally... but at least thats competitive).

Yeah I hate those guys. I was at this party once and there was this obnoxious guy named Tiny (he was like 5'1" but absurdly bulky) who told me prolly 7-8 times throughout the night that he could bench over 500lbs. Drunken power lifters bragging about how much they bench gets annoying after a while.

Yer 500 lbs is pretty amazing, depending on how big this little fucker is thatd be close to pushing a world record for his weight (you would struggle to be much above 200 odd pounds at 5'1).

100% sure he'd also be a total tosser, but thats beside the point.
