anybody know why so many words are underlined in these threads???

or is it just my screen... I see a bunch of random words in light blue with a double underline. At first, I thought I had typed some code without realizing it. But, there is nothing ontoward and its different words.

I have no idea what you're talking about. While on the topic though, why is it every time I attack, my screen drops down to show me the dice. Then I have to scroll back up again. Is there a way to turn this annoying thing off.

Could be your browser's spell check...

If only I was a mod, I would edit every other person's post in here and underline random segments...

If only....

I experience this exact problem when I take too many of the purple pills.

That is extremely annoying, especially when using clickable maps.

Thanks, seems to have worked.

I know what you're referring to, player. It's spam that makes a link to words it recognizes and displays ads for them, if we're talking about the same thing. I suggest you get/update/run your antivirus program, let it go through, get CCleaner (http://www.piriform.net), run it as necessary, and it might go away.

thanks. Pimpdave's solution fixed it, but I will try what you suggest. I can see I need to update my antivirus protection!

I don't think you did what PD intended you to do, deleting all of your .dll files would destroy your OS and possibly your hard drive as well. There is a reason he should be on everyone's ignore list the shit he spouts is uniquely malevolent.

don't delete all your DLL files... definitely don't reboot until you put them back. If you try to reboot your computer it probably won't turn back on.

Has your computer always had the lines? What browser do you use? does it occur when you use different browsers?

Just restored it all.

I use Internet Explorer..and hear I need to go Foxfire every time I talk to my tech geek brothers. But it looks like I have a virus. It does give pop-ads as rd said. Thankfully, that's the only problem.

I have had a bunch of computer issues, switched computers, etc.. and it looks like my security software was invalidated somewhere in the mix.

Go install the free AVG antivirus software, and either Ad Aware or Spybot S&D, and run full system scans, it should solve your problem.

BTW: It's Firefox :)

Yeah, run your virus scanner.

Damn.

I know absolutely NOTHING about computers. I should have picked up on it. But I am glad to hear you intended it as a joke.. and glad it did not cause me real damage. lesson learned on many fronts!

I have AVG, but apparently need to reinstall it. And I forgot to get those others... had them before, but wound up going through 3 computers in a week.

Calling someone "piece of trash" is flaming. How about we ban you instead?

It's amazing how you guys want to ban someone just because you disagree with his opinions. I guess it requires a certain kind of mindset.

As far as browser's go, I recommend Google Chrome. It's a bit faster, more efficient. Clickable Maps still works with it, and the big deter from using CM is it doesn't support BOB. However, if you don't use BOB like me, it's amazing. Just a thought.

They do so anonymously, and I believe you're asked whether you want to do keep that feature on or off when you install the browser.

No, we're trying to ban someone because he almost destroyed someone's OS.
