I listen to angry and/or hard music while I drive. Godsmack, Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, System of a Down are just some of the bands who's CDs are in my car right now. Music like that fits my driving style - aggressive, with a bit of anger. Crank the volume way up, and drive. Just please don't get in my lane and drive slowly. I'd rather not have to weave around you. I will, I just would prefer it if you stay out of my way. Thanks.

Loud music is fun to listen to while driving, but my loud music is more 50's loud, like Chuck Berry or Little Richard.

Lately I've been listening to drum and bass. Loudly.
The single best album for driving, though, is Songs for the Deaf, by Queens of the Stone Age.

The "Drive" soundtrack yeah. That movie was so good once I got my head around the fact that Ryan Gosling isn't supposed to talk. At first I was like "fryface.jpg", then I was all "xzibitsmiling.jpg"

Showing my age now, but 30 years ago back in England I used to pop this into my Walkman (!), plug in the earphones, don the helmet, then press Play as I started my bike. I then had to try and make it to the office 12.5 miles away before it finished.
Anyone who's ridden a bike has gotta love this song.
In the car....Radar Love - great pick.

I was listening to the Violent Femmes when I got my first and only speeding ticket back in 1990. So I try to avoid listening to them while driving.
I keep a Chemical Brothers' CD in the car in case I get sleepy while driving. It always does the trick.

Anybody else feel like there are songs for driving at night and songs for driving in daylight?

Off of "El Oso". The whole CD is good for driving.

I listen to Rage and System as well. Also, Black Keys. I'd put Pearl Jam ("Rearviewmirror" comes to mind) on the list as well. Plus, Clutch, Tool, White Stripes, things like that.
That also happens to be my "Working Late" music. Keeps me awake, alert, and angry.
