Giant's punter pinned the Patt's and led to Brady's rookie-esque grounding mistake in the end zone.

Either him or the guy that caught the pass. But, the one that really won the game was the punter...but when did a punter ever get an MVP?

B/C Grondowski was on his heels and not on his toes when he had the opportunity to make the greatest play in Super Bowl history!

That was Mario Manningham... and it took another unbelievable catch
on the Giants final drive and beat the Patriots again.

Both teams and QBs played really well... in all the recent NE/NYG games,
four points is the biggest spread.

The Pats let them score to get the ball back in Brady's hands for one final drive
and two dropped passes before reaching mid-field after starting on their own
20 yard line with 54 secs. to play didn't help. I suppose they figured their odds
were better with him, than blocking a very short game winning field goal.

The Giants won because they were the better team yesterday. Seriously they had just about everything go against them (except that one punt at the beginning of the game leading to a safety) from a phantom holding call to overturn a third down conversion to a blatantly missed holding call on the Patriots first touchdown (or am I the only one who saw that they basically had one of the Giants in an arm bar as Brady was throwing the touchdown?) to a Giants player being in almost perfect position to down the ball at the one on a punt and having it slip by him to injuries (if memory serves m correctly Jason Pierre-Paul was out for a good portion of the second half and they were down to their third string tight end) and they still won the game and when the game was on the line Eli Manning out dueled Tom Brady (for anyone who watches Sportscenter you may want to get adjusted to hearing that about 50 times in the next 3 days).

That safety was pretty unbelievable though. When was the last time something like that happened to Tom Brady? I'm almost certain it's happened to him before where he was called for intentional grounding in the end zone but this was the big stage so a mistake like that was shocking and Also kind of funny as that was how Eli Manning started this post season.

In other news, Belichick hasn't won the Super Bowl since he was last caught cheating. For the record, he's probably not the only coach in the NFL who's cheated and he may not even be the only one who's been caught and is still coaching but that doesn't mean anything to me. Cheating is cheating and it's bad form.

For the record, I also think that letting Ahmad Bradshaw score late was the right call even if that's probably one of the big things the Patriots are going to get flack about. The Giants were pretty much guaranteed a score, if not by touchdown than by field goal. Get the ball back while you still have some time on the clock and a time out.

My 30th favorite NFL team beat my 31st favorite NFL team. Again. Whoo. The only time I root for the Pats would be when they play the Cowboys.

The Pats lost for many reasons...

1) Eli Manning played well.
2) Pats Offense wasn't playing at it's peak.
3) Giant's Kicker -> Great Field Possession for Giants

If you have to blame one person or one play, you can blame Tom Brady's rookie mistake on his first play. He should have stepped out of the pocket before throwing away the ball. He wasn't thinking about where he was or what the repercussions might be.

That resulted in not just the 2 point Safety... but also the 3 points for the NYG Field Goal. Not to mention the lost drive. The 5 point swing is more than the difference at the end of the game.

Even with that error the Pats still could have pulled it off... but they didn't. There is no could have, there is no should have, there is not try... there is only win or lose.

We should stop inviting the lame AFC to the superbowl. Bring back the Steelers et al to the NFC and demote the entire AFC.

Did anyone else notice that the broadcast team went out of their way to not criticize Tom Brady? He made some poor decisions throughout the game (not just the first play that resulted in a safety).

It was actually a touchdown after the safety so a 9 point swing.

I notice that a lot with Brady period. He's a great quarter back but newscasters seem to want to make him into a god. I'm noticing that today they're putting a lot of the attention Brady being injured...on his non-throwing shoulder...where he didn't miss a play. I'm sorry but Giants were also playing injured. They lost I think 3-4 people to injury in the game and had a couple others miss plays. They lost two tight ends and Jason Pierre-Paul, a critical part of that pass rush was injured. Maybe not their Quarter Back but more than one significant piece and I didn't notice any drop off in play from Brady after the injury.

I picked the Giants and made a little scratch.

Sure the Pats got off to a rough start, BUT they won the First Half anyways
and lost in the second... and of course the game.

The QB of the winning team was definitely going to be the MVP
and fortunately Manningham made the catch.

Also, Pats had at least two dropped passes that didn't help Brady any. Brady threw on the money for the most part, but when those two passes needed to be caught, they were dropped.

My Dad thinks the Pats lost because Brady kept saying prayers to the owner's dead wife...Tebow would not be pleased.

Even though Mario Manningham was not Eli's primary receiver
it is The Catch and not the throw that will be remembered.

Another Nightmare Moment for the Super Bowl Patriots.
