The ultra-conservative website WND.com reports the U.S. Senate Permanent Select Sub-Committee on Investigations has been secretly investigating British banking giant HSBC over the laundering of "hundreds of billions of dollars or more." The bank has allegedly been keeping alive the supposedly closed accounts of customers who suffered identity theft and using the defunct accounts to funnel money to Mexican and Colombian drug cartels, then taking a profit return from the international drug trade. The story was broke by Jerome Corsi, most famous for his "swift boat" book that sank the 2004 campaign of John Kerry.

The Senate has confirmed to Reuters it is investigating HSBC while federal prosecutors may have already secretly convened a Grand Jury to determine if HSBC is a criminal gang under the RICO Act.

one interesting thing to consider is that the 'H' in HSBC stands for 'Hong Kong' which is where the headquarters are
