I think the bigger question is how you do you Obama supporters justify forcing one religion to go against there beliefs to do something as arbitrary as issue contraceptives while you allow the literal killing of the national bird (something already against the law) in the name of religious freedom. I am an Obama supporter and I do not believe that religious institutions should be forced to cover birth control if it is against their beliefs. I also do not have a problem with this tribe requesting approval to kill two birds to satisfy their religious rights provided it is not excessive and does not further endanger this species.

Now that I have satisfied your request, please explain to me your double standard. Why are you against this religious expression but for the other?

The thing is that no ' Religion ' is being forced to issue contraceptives in an arbitrary fashion , show me one instance of a church , temple or mosque that is being forced to do so. I can think of no reason why a religious institution should have to supply a contraceptive if it is against their tenets. That is black and white.

As for a religion based on killing a national protected bird, I think that's a gray area. There are competing principles.

And my point would be that Obama is stomping one religion while accommodating another religion.

The health insurance provided by my employer here in Georgia doese not cover any expenses related to STDs, nor do they cover contraceptives. They will however cover expenses related to pregnancy!

As I said previously, there was no question in my mind that as soon as Catholic leaders started throwing things at the president, he would except them out of this.

Yeah, it's a mandate for the insurance companies, not the religious institutions. And that's the problem with the law generally and the way conservatives SHOULD be attacking the law - the law requires people to pay for things for other people... that's absolutely unconstitutional (and no, it's not like taxes). What conservatives shouldn't be doing is pretending that the law is an affront to Catholicism when 90% of the conservatives commentating on this aren't Catholic and the law is NOT an affront to Catholicism anymore.

So, I continue to bang my head against this wall of conservative stupidity, for what seems like the 500th time. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, et. al. can honestly suck a dick. Pull out some real arguments, not some made up bullshit.

I'm really not for hunting bald eagles. I think they're too pretty and dignified of birds and it makes about as much sense as hunting parrots. I'd be interested in hearing from hunters on their perspective (I'm not a hunter).

I will never understand you guys, and your motivations for posting like you do. You generalise all the time, you don't even try to make your arguments persuasive, you just take potshots at the 'opposition'. What are you trying to achieve?
