Ha, it took me a hour of digging through forgotten email accounts and google cached pages that no longer exist but I have done it, I have recovered my mighty nation.
The Democratic Republic of Pirotehnic Monkeys is a massive, economically powerful nation, renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. So I will post the first issue shortly. Also, today I will be taking suggestions for what to call our National Animal and our Currency, as well what our motto and flag will be. The best suggestion posted in the next 2 days for each will be the ones chosen.
Also, part of our name is still to be decided: our official name is The Republic of Conquer Club, but we can change the "republic" to any of a bunch of options, which I'll list here.
Issue 1: Auto Industry Struggles Against Foreign Imports Cheap, foreign-made cars are becoming increasingly popular, causing concern in Conquer Club's automobile manufacturing industry.
Option 1: "Unless this government does something, Conquer Club won't have an auto industry for much longer," says auto industry union boss Lara de Jong, in a rare public appearance alongside management. "These foreign companies employ people for a few Unnamed National Currencys a day. The only way to level the playing field is to raise tariffs. The government would make more money, too, so it's win-win."
Option 2: "For once, I agree with my grubby colleague here," says General Chassis CEO Prudence Broadside. "Although I have to say, tariffs aren't the only answer. A more effective solution would be to abolish minimum wage laws. Now that would level the playing field. And we'd be able to employ more--argh, let go of my throat!"
Option 3: "I think we need to face facts," says noted economist and chat-show regular Samuel Goethe. "We live in a global economy now, and automobile manufacturing just isn't Conquer Club's strong suit. There's no point taking money from taxpayers in order to line the pockets of a few greedy workers and corrupt managers in a doomed industry. Let the market take its--argh, let go of my throat!"

The solution is clear. We must mercilessly drive out these foreign competitors whether it be through tariffs or the point of a bayonet. In fact I feel the given solution doese not go far enough. The car makers should be outright nationalised for the greater benefit of our people. Not one cent to money grubbers, let all our funds go to the betterment of all conquerclubers not just the fat cats.
All who oppose this course of action are encouraged to sign up for a Fog, No spoils, random distribution, Trench warfare Hive game. I motion for Conquer Club to be a People's republic, Our flag should be a field of white with the red circle and star of CC. Our currency should be Conquer Points and our national animal Bears

Never mind those options and what those people say! What is best for the people is to maintain a domestic market of greater stability. This dog-eat-dog competition from the Chinese car manufacturers is wreaking havoc on our domestic markets. These inferior money-grubbing Chinese capitalists are dumping their flea-ridden goods here.
Remember the lead in Chinese toys, the chemicals in Chinese sheet rock, and Chinese milk with melamine! These foreign importers clearly can't be trusted.
As BVP recommends, we must enact protectionist policies! Tariffs, Tariffs, and More Tariffs!! Implement import quotas, subsidize our car manufacturers, expand the money supply in order to devalue our currency to make our exports relatively cheaper!!
