Has anyone else been following this?

Francoise Hollande edged Nicolas Sarkozy in the first round but with the NF leader Marine Le Pen taking an alarming 18% of the vote.

The second round should prove interesting however. I think Sarkozy has got it, as most those who chose the NF leader will pick Sarkozy over the socialist candidate.

I suppose it would depend. Who's more nationalist, Sarkozy or Hollande? I doubt all the NF types are purely fascist variety nationalist. Some might support old fashion economic protectionism which I would think Hollande would be in more favor of.

I don't know much about french politics though, so can't really say.
