I haven't watched the movie or read the books.
However, I stole an idea from Bill Simmons (grantland.com) who stole the idea from one of his readers.* Who would win an a Hunger Games type battle amongst the off topics crew?
* Bill Simmons talked about who would win in a hunger games battle among sports fans. I note that he ranked Philadelphia fans #1, but said the fans would end up killing each other in a fight with New Jersey fans. I agreed with his assessment.

I love Bill Simmons whenever he subs in on PTI.
Also, I would win, naturally.

Incorrect. THORNHEART would win by killing everyone with a single arrow, fired with pinpoint accuracy, using the moon's gravity to sling the arrow around the Earth killing at least two people with each pass.

You would be so focused on trying to take-out Xeno that you wouldn't notice Army of Nobunaga sneaking up on you from behind.

Sorry, but the only way you're surviving is if you agree to be aon's bitch.

I actually plan on killing you first and then hiding in your dead body and then I'll get the last person from behind

Yeah, this is obviously the correct answer.

I'm pretty sure that means you'd be too busy drinking your own(and everyone else's) piss to actually kill anyone.

From watching the millions of advertisements on TV, I think you actually have to kill other people.
I would lose (unless I had my trusty tax regulations shield... I need to dig up that thread, that was a good one).

Search is yo friend TGD. I made this thread already. Although since I'm not as fun as you, few respondents came through.
But since I'm not one to hold grudges, I will willingly volunteer for the hunger games. My extensive body fat will keep me alive with few resources, and my ability to sleep for days in a hidden spot will secure a place in the final few combatants. At which point, I'll use my cunning to set up death traps that will pick off my enemies one by one.

I wouldn't win necessarily, but I wouldn't lose either.
I'd go around with my shields up and be like "Hey you!" and then laugh while they tried to knock me out with a wimpy whip or antique arrow. They'd probably inadvertently kill themselves trying to kill me.

For those who don't know its a competition between 16 people where they are sent off into an enclosed area (a jungle in the movie) they are provided with supplies and weapons and the last one alive wins.
Personally I think the game would last several months, with lots of people dying from infection or disease. The winner would be night strike or scotty.

it's between 24 people (2, 1 of each sex, from each of the 12 districts of Panem, a post apocalyptic America). The enclosed area changes every year, I wouldn't even consider the field they were in a Jungle, there was too much open land, and in the book there is a big field of tall grass/wheat/something tall, so it's extremely varied, and in the 2nd book, they're in a legitimate jungle surrounding a saltwater lake with an island in the middle. They are hardly provided supplies, maybe a tarp and some ropes, a few snacks, but nothing more than a meager sustenance. And yes weapons.

< Ex-sprinter and currently self declared fittest person on OT.
If you know anything about hunger games you will realise how important those two attributes are (sprint in, fitness to get away).
