2012 NBA Playoffs

Here are my picks:

EAST

Bulls vs. Sixers - easy pick. Bulls should win in 5.
Heat vs. Knicks - as a Heat fan, I'm afraid of this match-up. I'll take the Heat in 6 with my fingers crossed.
Pacers vs. Magic - no way a Howard-less Magic goes anywhere. It'll be like the Cavs post-LeBron. Pacers in 6.
Celtics vs. Hawks - Rondo's just too good. Hawks will disappoint once again. Celtics in 7.

WEST

Spurs vs. Jazz - probably the last hurrah for Duncan and company. No way they're going down in the first round again. Spurs in 4.
Thunder vs. Mavs - banking on the defending champs to pull off the upset. Losing Chandler sucks, but their vets will pull through. Mavs in 7.
Lakers vs. Nuggets - Lakers finally got a point guard...they'll be hard to beat. Lakers in 5.
Grizzlies vs. Clippers - This is probably just me hoping the Clippers win than thinking they will. Clippers in 7.

Eastern Conference

Bulls over Sixers in five games. I'd say four considering how weak the Sixers have looked outside of the last three or so games, but I try to keep my inner homer in check. Plus Rose's health is a question mark at this point.
Heat over Knicks in seven games. The Knicks are looking really good right now, and I wouldn't put it past them to pull off the upset. Either way, I think this is going to be the closest first round series.
Pacers over Magic in five games. The Magic are lucky they did so well early in the season or they would have probably missed the playoffs all together. The Pacers shouldn't have trouble with this one.
Celtics over Hawks in six games. I'm not writing off the Hawks, but they got a pretty tough draw for the first round. The Celtics are aiming for one last run, and they aren't going to lose to a team as streaky as Atlanta.

Western Conference

Spurs over Jazz in five games. The Spurs are the hottest team in the league right now. I'm being generous giving the Jazz a win.
Thunder over Mavericks in six games. This is going to be an interesting series, but the Thunder just have more firepower than the Mavericks right now. Then again, the Thunder still haven't established themselves as a solid post-season team. Maybe I'll be surprised.
Nuggets over Lakers in seven games. I'm having trouble giving this one to Denver, but I sure would like to see the Lakers get sucker punched in the first round. This pick was made while my brain is tied up in the basement.
Grizzlies over Clippers in five games. The Grizzlies are almost certainly pissed off at not being in championship discussion. I see them playing with a lot of fire and taking advantage of the weak leadership of the Clippers.

I am not sure who will win in the matches, but in everyone match-up there is a team I am definite rooting for...or against!

Loved the intensity during the game and a huge win.

Also, Rose got injured...again...which is sort of bittersweet if he's out for the rest of the playoffs. On one hand it means our road to the championship is easier, but I'd rather see him play because it means better basketball when he's in.

Rose is becoming so injury prone, his career looks sort of in question. They should be able to get past the 6ers still, but they should have trouble with whoever comes out of the Hawks/Celtics matchup.

He just puts so much unnecessary strain on his body sometimes. If he had just signed with Nike he wouldn't have such shitty equipment to play with.

You should be rooting for the Spurs. There's a lot of Mexicans there.

Or one of the LA teams...

Considering the Bulls could knock Miami off of their perch with him
and have lost him for the playoffs? Sure.

I'd rather have my team win it all vs the best players on each roster,
than by default. That's what made the Mavs win over the Heat
last year so much sweeter.

That's why I said it was bittersweet.

Also, what a lucky bounce off the rim Durant had yesterday against the Mavs.

No one willing to take the Clips?? Don't underestimate CP3, he's the best PG on the court.

Was that because you were so high that the tv was melting into your floor? I heard that happens sometimes because people put other drugs in marijuana a lot so that they can addict people and make them keep using it or getting into other stuff.

Like I read that marijuana isn't actually a gateway drug, but that a lot of times since it gets spiked that it kinda is.

Just read today that some Nike designer was saying shit like this on twitter and people were getting into an uproar over it. Then he like got all defensive and was like, take a joke ya'll. Then nike got mad so the he had to retract all his statements and make an apology.

He's the guy that designed LeBron James' shoe. No wonder he's an asshole.

Silly Grizzlies and Clippers. I still don't really care who wins that match-up. But some of the outcomes I rooted for did occur, which is nice...

Shut it, heat fan. You probably laughed when you heard of Derrick Rose's injury, you animal.

I wouldn't laugh. That's just stupid.

I jerked off.

I heard he laughed/jerked when learned Amare punched a glass fire extinguisher case.

The only series this Round I have been watching and am interested in is the Dallas - OKC matchup. I'd like to see OKC continue on into the next Round.

It's been a war so far. Very physical with curious fouls... makes it hard
to know what is and what isn't a foul with the calls they've made. With
all the contact, grabbing and shoving allowed in the first two games it
won't be a shock if the refs lose control in one of these games...
it's almost happened already in both games.

Mavs have now led four time at Oklahoma City in the final minute
and lost.

Rose-less Bulls are just bad. Whoever wins between the Celtics/Hawks will be in the conference finals.
