Hmm, so if we take a fairly standard estimate of the world population as around 7 billion. Halve that roughly for a population of 3.5 billion males.
Approximate percentages of homosexuality among males at around 5%- there are figures higher, and figures lower, so I've just gone for that one, we get a figure worldwide of around 175 million homosexual males.
The WHO puts HIV/AIDS infection among males globally at around 15 million. So even if we assume that all those males who have HIV are homosexual males, we have a figure of around 10%.
Factoring out children we can eliminate about 1.5 million HIV infected males, bringing the percentage (again, assuming that all HIV infected adult males are gay), even lower.
I think it's fair to assume at this point that not all of the remaining HIV infected adult males are in fact gay, so I'm going with the low number on this one.
