G.O.P. ‘Super PAC’ Weighs Hard-Line Attack on Obama
By JEFF ZELENY and JIM RUTENBERG 11:45 AM ET

A group of high-profile Republican strategists is working with a conservative billionaire, Joe Ricketts, seeking to mount one of the most provocative campaigns of the “super PAC” era.

It looks like they won't be going through with this strategy, according new reports, but the document itself is fun to peruse.

The document in-full (50+pages) can be found on the NYT website: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2012 ... ument.html

The article says the document was not released by someone working with the PAC... but I still wonder if it was. I'm strongly against personal attack ads, so I would prefer that these types of things were not used. That being said, I suspect people will read the document and conservative commentators will comment on the document. Should make for a "fun" election season.

I have never been a big fan of personal attacks myself. I have a feeling though, that this may become one of the worst campaigns we have ever seen. (from both sides)

I got a form email from the Obama campaign. They are already responding to this. I didn't think that this would have been leaked by the Obama campaign purposefully. I'm apparently not cynical enough yet.

I don't know if this came out from it, but apparently the president's law journal bio said he was born in Kenya. I'm so, so, so happy I get to listen to this again for the next seven months.
