Since Aung San Suu Kyi accepted the Nobel Prize she has been released from house arrest by the SLORC and become de facto ruler of Burma and has instituted a brutal crackdown on ethnic minorities.

Myanmar has always been starving, killing, discriminating against the Rohingya muslims. It's nice to see this Nobel laureate following this time honored Myanmar tradition.

I'm not sure what you guys don't understand here. If someone kills all their enemies, then afterwards all the people left will be on the same side as them - at which point you have total peace!

Hooray for Peace Prize Winner Suu Kyi's slaughter of the Muslims, hooray for Peace Prize Winner Obama's escalation of the drone strike program and illegal assassination of Osama bin laden. Hooray for peace!

Didn't work well for the Hutus and the Tutsis.

Only because some bunch of white knights came along and prevented the Hutus from finishing the job.

Actually the french, insufficiently informed as they were at the time, aided the Hutus. The fierce UN intervention mostly came later when Rwanda, with the support of Uganda, tried to invade Congo and did so by training and funding warlords. Remember Joseph Kony?

The international community was too slow and indecisive in their reaction.

Aung San Suu Kyi isn't the President of Burma. That said, she's a powerful voice, and she should do more than offer apologetics.

She's the de facto supreme ruler of Burma. Under Burmese law, she isn't allowed to officially hold the title of President since her children are foreign citizens. But she's the one running the show.

* State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi is regarded as the de facto leader of Myanmar.
* Although NLD leader Aung San Suu Kyi is barred from the presidency, she has said she will rule by proxy

The ethnic cleansing is occurring under her orders by her terror troops.

She hasn't offered any apologies.

Apologetics aren't apologies, Saxi. She isn't the ruler of Burma, not by any means. It doesn't excuse her, though.

And the press says Bannon is the real US President... you seemed like you wanted to make a point when you bumped this.

And when the U.S. Army massacres 1,000 of its own citizens I'll blame Bannon.

Right now, though, it's the Burmese Army under your hero Aung San Suu Kyi who is doing the shooting.

That's a high threshold. You won't blame him for the botched raid in Yemen?

She's still not the president.

The raid Obama planned? Or a different one?

lol, Sym has a crush on Aung.

'Psshht, please, don't listen to those haters. Who hasn't been tempted to do a quick genocide every now and again? Say, your eyes look beautiful tonight... want to come back to mine?'

The one that Obama partly planned, but didn't authorise as it wasn't ready.

I really upset you with this thread, didn't I Saxi?

A necrobump and then some false-Obama blaming? What's really on your mind?

Yes, you did.

Putting up a fan thread for Aung San Suu Kyi, the Butcher of Yangon - really?

What's next, a Hitler fan thread? A Charles Manson fan thread?

I think you're gonna have to justify that, Saxi. "Butcher of Yangon" is your term, and nobody else's. You're really striving here.
