so have ppl watched that yet? I know most of you here are probably too old for it (except me), just curious. I liked it more than the original Avatar with Aang.

Me and my friend watched a couple episodes from the original season just yesterday. It's a great series except for all the teen dramedy crap that slows the plot down.

I love the original and I love Korra.... I think the entire Avatar franchise is the best think to come out of TV in a long time.

This dude here watched it. In general I still preferred the original series, however I thought the ending of Korra was fucking tight!
I feel that there were some awkward points here and there in the story telling in the middle of Korra. I definitely could have done with out the teen drama "who likes who" bullshit, but whatever, that was to be expected and thankfully it was kept to a minimum. The episode "the aftermath" in particular I thought felt a little forced. Though that may have to do with the fact that it revolved around Asami, who I couldn't care less about. Mako and Bolin really didn't do anything for me at first. I dunno they both seemed kind of "regular" Mako being the quite badass and Bolin the quirky funny guy. While Mako eventually grew on me, mostly by proving to be a kick ass bender (especially in the finale) Bolin just sort of stayed a poor mans Sokka.
Now as for things they did right, I loved Korra, Tenzin, and cheif Beifong. Amon was a brilliant Villain and I really enjoyed his back story. I loved how everyone wanted to speculate that he was somehow related to one of the original characters but he just turned out to be:
The last 3 episodes were fucking awesome! I mean some seriously fucking high octane adventure fucking shit man.
And what rules the most is that the show isn't over! There's a whole other 14 episode season coming and I have no idea what it's going to be about. Korra can bend anything, all the teen bullshits been resolved, and really everything's been resolved. It can be about anything! I'm fucking pumped man.

Really smart show. It took on the all good parts of the original show, and wasn't afraid of continuing with the themes.
