Does the NFL have a monopoly on professional football?

Should it be broken up? Nationalized? Deregulated? Nothing? Or what?

Kittenized is the correct answer I think.

Has anyone ever been to an Arena Football Game? Or any of those lower regional league semi-pro games? Or any USFL games? I never have since none have ever really been in my area.

We used to have an AFL team here, but they got bought and moved to Colombus, I think...

It certainly does not. Ever heard of the Lingerie Football League (my wife actually watches it...I find it rather boring).

Also, Arena Football (which looks fun).

I wouldn't say the NFL has a monopoly.

Not only in just professional football but it also has to compete with playoff baseball and early season hockey/basketball for consumers.
